« I visited in the off season, but the hotel is lovely. If you're used to staying in the cookie cutter hotels that all look the same, this hotel will surprise you. It's all furnished with antiques. There's so much charm and personality here. It's delightful! Don't hesitate to come here thinking the hurricane has everything closed. Lake Lure is very near "full pool" now. « Location was great! It was close enough to walk up town, so we didn't have to worry about finding a parking place. We enjoyed sitting on the private deck listening to the river. Though no fault of the management, we had some very loud neighbors that kept us awake until very late and woke us up very early. It was a quaint little lodge and we will be back! »

« Room was clean, but we found a hair in the bed, so could be a little cleaner. Bathroom was spotless and beautiful! Terry, the woman at the front, was wonderful to talk to and very understanding to us getting in late on check in. We ended up checking out a little late and they had no problem with it too. Overall, a great stay and will be comjng back in the summer! »
