« Lovely stay at St Mathias Lodge in Torquay. We chose this location as our son lives nearby & it was perfect for visiting him. It’s about a 15-20 min walk down to Torquay harbour & is uphill on way back. The cottage has everything you need. A fully equipped kitchen, which we didn’t use as we are out everyday, but it’s perfectly good for cooking, it even has a dishwasher. Everything is spotless and the rooms are good sizes. « I made the booking via Hotel.com and 5 hours after I paid I had an email that I had to pay a £50 mandatory fee for facilities passes at the park. I questioned this as nothing was stated via booking and the price stated was the final price I paid. I had emails from a 3rd party called travelnest and also getting emails from someone asking for £50. The whole booking was a mess. « Absolutely lovely. The accommodation is excellent - a superior barn conversion. Really fabulous on a working farm. Hen Curtis was very friendly as well as her dogs Fido (retired sheep dog) Jumble mixed Labby/Poodle, Pinto young sheep dog. All love a good bit of stroking (not Hen!!!!). Relaxing place to be with great walks on and around the farm. Not to be missed. »
