« We stayed in the Welty House section of the property. It was odd in that there was no parlor or common room to sit in.
The room was ok. Nothing too special but it had an attached sitting room with more space & a large bathroom. Odd again was the balcony off the bathroom.
We couldn’t find a glass or plastic cup anywhere for a drink of water…or even a complimentary bottled water.
One advantage was in the heart of the historic district. Disadvantage, it is a main business thoroughfare that was...

« This property is a gem for history enthusiasts. It contains a museum of artifacts discovered during renovations and is decorated to match the period it was built in. It is modern and clean however, with modern comforts like new outlets on each side of the bed and at both vanities in the bathroom. The staff were incredible. « Great location and large room, downside was no staff on site; we needed to call to get someone from the next door diner to open the door. No welcome or further context. Also no staff when we checked out. Rooms are nice and spacious, the outdoors patio and garden are a great opportunity to relax in, but is current quite empty; if they would make this a bit more cosy and welcoming it would be a lot better. »
