« This property is a wonderful location. Lauren is a gracious host with great communication. Property is in perfect condition. Each year they continue to update and improve the property. We have stayed here almost every summer for 40 years. There are four bedrooms, and the loft has 2 twin beds and a door. I would highly recommend this rental property. KB »

« Perfect location, 2nd row at our favorite beach in NC! Directly across from a beach access! A new fenced in area is perfect if you are bringing a four-legged friend! One of the only homes in the island with a fence. This is our second time renting this house and we plan to rent it again! »

« We had a little difficulty locating the building because the address I received was the actual apartment, not the building number (and the two numbers didn't correspond to each other in any way). Once I was able to tap around and find more information in the Landing app, we realized where we needed to be. I also had issues with the electronic door lock which wasn't very intuitive. Landing had an 'Unlock door' button, but it kept sending me verification codes and then nothing happened. I had to...

« The apartment was beautiful! It was clean and neat! Big windows to allow for sunlight. We made our own breakfast as because they supplied dinnerware, cookware, coffee maker and blender. A washer and dryer was in the apartment along with hangers, laundry baskets and laundry detergent. »

« This is our second stay at the Purple Porpoise and our family of 10 had a great vacation both times.Things we loved: Location, view, marsh, house design and outside spaces. Suggestions: Extra towels, fridge way too small for 10 people and ice maker was anemic and fridge took a long time to cool back down after loading it. A large salad bowl and some regular cookie sheets would be nice. Sharpen knives. One broken beach chair and a lounge chair by the pool needs replacing. None of these,...

« We love the house and the fact that the beach is so close. The kids really enjoyed the pool too.Having a tent put up each day is a real plus.There are sand toys and beach chairs and pool floats. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware. We were fortunate to have great weather this year! The sunsets are spectacular! »
