« The host didn’t pay his power bill and the power was cut off. This is after I sent him the notice that was on the door. They didn’t have WiFi service until the 5th day. His bathroom threshold was a on inch high wooden board that busted your toe at night. They didn’t provide basic supplies like dish washing liquid or coffee supplies . When I I reported this to VRBO and checked out early. The host text me he was part of a business group in the area and he said I would never be able to rent a place...

« Stayed here a total of 10 nights (2 reservations) while our daughter was at Hannibal Regional Hospital recovering from complications of a surgery. We rented the upstairs unit first, (Parlor on Paris) also 2 reservations, but switched to Huck's Hideaway when we realized we would be in town several weeks. Since we were taking shifts & staying with her around the clock, it was the perfect place to relax, refuel & rest. Kitchen was very functional with a great gas stove & full size appliances....

« The room was very clean. It had a hot tub in it and it was also very clean and worked properly. We enjoyed our stay there. »

« A Book lovers dream!! The books alone could keep me entertained for days! It smells like books! Host is extremely considerate! Place is right in the center of downtown things to do. You can walk everywhere! River 2 blocks away. My personal only complaint was the bed. Tons of soft pillows. Bed is not soft. Im very picky about that though. Wonderful place. Sincerely hope to stay again. »

« The property was terrific. Close to downtown and points of interest. Kitchen was well appointed with an amazing gas range which made cooking easy. Host was gracious and quick to respond with answers to questions. Beds were so comfortable!!!! Especially the brass bed in the room next door to upstairs restroom. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting a clean and comfortable stay in Hanibal. »

« More clarity that pond is only catch and release in the listing. Had hoped to catch a few fish for dinner. House was amazing. Really enjoyed some downtime and it was very quiet. It was nice to be able to park in the garage. Would be a great place for family gathering also with that space. »

« Our second time here and there will be many more times I’m sure. Love this house! As you walk in there is a grand staircase , you turn and there is a living room with furniture befitting the era of the house. The grand piano is another great touch. The woodwork is amazing. That’s just the beginning as every corner of the house is full of beauty and grace of a time long gone by.Highly recommend! »
