« We had a great time celebrating my birthday at this beautiful lake cottage. The home has no carpet which is great - its spacious, well-stocked, and full of thoughtful family-friendly touches like Guitar Hero, games including a ping pong table, and a hot tub. AC was GREAT, the beds were comfy, and the separate guest suite—with its own private entrance, bathroom, and kitchen—was a great option for extra space. « Our whole family - our three sons, their spouses and children - spent a spectacular week together at Hideaway Ridge on Smith Mountain Lake. The home, setting, facilities, and location enabled us to spend lots of time together while also providing spaces for children to play separately from adults visiting. The management team is responsive and delightful. A great place for a family vacation. »

« Great house. Difficult driveway.Would be nice to add tvs in the bedrooms and label the light switches. In shared bathrooms a row of hooks for towels would work better than a small towel bar. »

« We loved the open concept kitchen, dining table, and family room. We were all together when we were inside. We also played games in the evening on the deck off the main floor. We were happy to have plenty of chairs and invited friends from a couple coves down to play "Mind the Gap" in our generational teams. I was glad I didn't bring my elderly mother this year because she could not have navigated the steps. For the rest of us, our legs are stronger! »

« We had a wonderful time for our family week @SML. Enjoyed home, dock, kids could play safely, room for 2 boats, quiet cove with easy access to main channel, close to grocery stores & other needs. Host was very responsive, flexible, and good to work with.Hope to stay again in the future. »

« Great house on SM lake. Our college age kids enjoyed swimming off the dock and relaxing on the dock and decks/porches. We did a 1/2 day fishing charter and caught a lot of fish! Nice home in quiet neighborhood, would definitely stay here again. »
