Christmas Break at Silversands

We are a family of 7 and this was our second Christmas break at the house. We had an amazing time. The view from the lounge is just stunning.

Family holiday in an exceptional house.

Our third stay at Silversands, which speaks for itself. The house is ideal for a mixed age family, in our case, grandparents, parents and young teens, being very flexible. The site is well provided for and the location, overlooking and ten minutes traffic free walk from glorious Filey beach, is wonderful. Customer service on site has always been very good although this year we had some issues which were due to circumstances, not the fault of the service team. Paula, the manager, was, as always, very good at responding quickly and personally.

A wonderful family holiday

We had a great time staying at Silversands House. The accommodation was beautiful. Very spacious with a gorgeous sea view. We visited as a family and there was something for everyone. The children and dog loved the beach, which was only a short walk away, and my father loved sitting on the balcony watching the view. We also enjoyed a tour of the local whisky distillery. We really appreciated Paula’s help during our stay. She sent us all of the information we needed and responded very quickly to our calls and messages, doing everything she could to help us and to accommodate our needs. We would love to stay in the property again.

Beautiful upside down him with all you need for your stay. Great view from the open plan living room, and spacious dining area. En suite bathrooms to 3 of the 4 bedrooms and the master bedroom just wow!

Amazing!

We recently stayed at Silversands House to celebrate a 60th birthday and ring in the New Year, and it couldn't have been more perfect. With a family group ranging from 11 to 60 years old, the accommodation and the site offered something for everyone. The house itself was exceptionally spacious and cosy, providing a brilliant hub for our celebrations. We loved the open plan living area and the balcony with the views to the sea are stunning especially at sunrise. The Bay is a fantastic site with a with a real sense of community. We made frequent use of the brilliant pool, sauna and steam room, which were clean and well maintained. If you have a dog, this location is unbeatable. The easy access to the beach meant we could be down on the sand in minutes.The beach is vast and beautiful, making it absolutely perfect for long morning walks. Our dog certainly enjoyed it as much as we did. Overall, it was a very memorable stay in a modern, well equipped home away from home. We would highly recommend Silversands House to any large families looking for a relaxing coastal break.

Second time staying here. First time was in the summer and this time in the winter. Both perfect times to go. Nice touches with the Christmas decorations too. Such a beautiful house and has everything you need. Can’t wait to come again.

Johnston Family at Silversands House

This was our third stay at Silversands House. The property has panoramic views over the sea and a large, well maintained open grassed area to the rear. It is well furnished, with 4 bedrooms which comfortably sleep 8 and is close to the path which leads down to the beach. The property ticks all our boxes and a generous welcome pack ensured Immediate supply of tea, coffee and biscuits. A great holiday had by all.

Fourth Year Staying at Silversands House

Simply, Silversands House is a wonderful house in a fantastic location with easy access to the beach, the facilities on The Bay, and within reasonable walking distance of Filey. The upside down design of the house, having the living area on the upper floor, gives panoramic views over Filey Bay. The large grassed area to the rear of the house is ideal for recreation, where children can play in complete safety and dogs can be exercised in a secure environment.

Perfect family holiday

I stayed here with 9 other family members. The home is perfect. More than everything you need for a self catering holiday. The views are stunning. Every single person there loved it with age ranging from 4-86. Only negative is that we had to come home. I could have lived there. We all can’t wait to come back!

A superb house for a family birthday, after looking at many places this one has it all. It had enough crockery / cooking equipment etc. space & location. The only down side was ( after stripping the beds on leaving) there wasn’t a mattress protector on one bed & on some of the pillows.

A terrific house for friends or family with amazing views and a perfect location.

Grandparents, adult children and 11 to 14 year old boys and Lola the dog had a wonderful weekend, Storm Ashley notwithstanding. Silversands is very well equipped and laid out for family fun, even when it's very wet and windy. There are spaces to be together and spaces to be apart and the site facilities are a few minutes walk away. The views of the whole of Filey Bay from the balcony are glorious.And when.the sun came out, it was just a short walk to the magnificent, clean beach at Filey. We're already planning our return.

Excellent location for a family holiday

Communication was excellent. We received a text on the day to say we could access the property earlier than 5pm which was helpful. The living accommodation was spacious and great for a group of 8 of us. The only issue we had was with the TV which was painfully slow and randomly turned itself on and off! The views from the balcony were great. Access to the beach was easy and close by. We used the pool easily but it was busy at times as it was peak holiday season - they do offer adult only sessions though. The local shop and restaurants were good but pricey so we didn't use these more than once. The downstairs bedrooms offered spacious wardrobes but the bedroom upstairs had very little storage facilities- only 2 drawers. The parking next to the property was great with easy access. The virtual tour was helpful online. Thank you.

Lovely house

This house is set in a wonderful location with the front facing onto a stretch of grass, then amazing views from Filey Brig and the town, right round to the high cliffs at Speeton and Bempton. The house itself features the sitting room on the first floor with a balcony to the front. The living space is easily large enough for a larger group of people, with a good size dining table and very well equipped large kitchen. The main bedroom is huge with plenty of floor space for the additional fold up beds that are provided. All the beds are larger than ordinary double size which is always a bonus. The bathrooms are spacious and modern. The whole house is beautifully clean and well maintained and fully lived up to our expectations.

Not the luxury I expected

Location and outlook really good Each morning we had an unexpected visitor, two different drones that sat opposite the bedrooms watching my children and the ladies getting dressed. One arrived at 6am when I was sat on the balcony in the sunshine. Only when you raised your phone to picture it it went. Facilities were a bit tired but toilets were clean and all smelt of domestos when we went in.

Three generation stay in a fabulous location and stunning house.

I booked Silversands House for a weekend stay with my children and grandchildren, all boys, aged 10 to 13. The house is very well appointed and very convenient to stay in, with the upstairs living accommodation giving the benefits of stunning views from the balcony of the full sweep of Filey Bay. Some of the larger members of the family did find the double beds rather narrow, but that in the spectacular suite was enormous. The management staff were very attentive and the staff who came to make us up an extra bed were very cheerful and friendly.The site itself offers lots of options, like the pub, a little shop and an arcade, which was very much enjoyed by the lads, as well as access to a pool and gym. It is very quiet too. The lovely walk down to the bay itself takes about 10 minutes down and 15 up, as some of it is steep. The access is to the quiet end of the bay, but it's only a 30-40 minute gorgeous walk along the sand to Filey, We'll be back.
