Keep going and Hillsboro Inlet Park opens up around the four-mile mark, benches and picnic tables looking straight across the water at the Hillsboro Lighthouse. Fort Lauderdale's restaurants, marinas, and nightlife sit about six miles southwest, and there's shell-collecting along the shore in either direction.
