You were wonderful guests and went way above and beyond any expectations we could have had. You are welcome to stay at our place throughout your build, and we welcome you to the community!

Our lovely place is quite remote, but on a public road. Most days, the only traffic you (might) see is us walking by to take care of the animals. Depending on which and how many animals are out that direction, we could be by there several times, but usually not more than twice. This is also a working farm, meaning that we sometimes drive tractors or pick-ups with trailers. You might also see the mailman, delivery drivers, a meter reader, or very rarely, a neighbor. And you might not. We have 3-4 cameras that are set up to provide security at our gate for us and our animals. They are not a bother for people who are honest and not planning to break rules. We rarely get a bad review because we have a great and unique place and treat people with respect and kindness. Usually, (as is the case with this one), you can read between the lines to get a better picture of the guest and make your own judgement as to the accuracy of the review.

We appreciate guests who communicate their concerns with us and always do our best to help. The mini-split unit and ceiling fans are sufficient to heat or cool the entire cabin under normal weather conditions. We provide the bare bathroom essentials of soap and toilet paper, but leave off the luxuries of shampoo and conditioner, finding that most people prefer to bring the brands they like to use. We are very environmentally friendly, and in our own home don't have central heat or air conditioning. We think it's a healthier lifestyle and want to welcome our guests to experience the same, though we do furnish the luxury of the heat and air unit (as well as a supplemental heater in the bedroom) because we know that most Americans aren't accustomed to our lifestyle. Being environmentally friendly, we also don't encourage the use of paper towels, so don't furnish them either. It's all part of our mission to provide people with the experience of getting back to the basics. Our guests are encouraged to look over what we do furnish and bring any additional items themselves or contact us with specific questions.

Our listing clearly states what we furnish. We do NOT furnish shampoo, conditioner, or paper towels. Sometimes guests leave items behind that we leave as a courtesy to the next guest. The bed is very new and has a good quality mattress with pillow top. We send out a message to every guest before arrival which includes the door code and other helpful information, including how to keep the local insects out of the house and to let us know immediately if there is any problem, so that we can do whatever is necessary to earn your 5-star rating. If a guest doesn't communicate concerns to us, we don't have a way to know that they need fixing. There is a manual in the welcome book that contains appliance operating instructions. Our refund policy is very clear. If we give any refund at all when it is not due, it is based on our ability to book the dates that were cancelled. and purely from the goodness of our hearts. We love to host grateful, honest people who want to step back into a simpler, more peaceful lifestyle.

We love to share our animals with the guests, but sometimes have to relocate them temporarily due to predator problems and to let the pastures rest. Let us know when booking if you want more of an animal experience and we'll do our best to provide that..
