We just got home from a 3 week stay at this cabin property, and it was wonderful. I stayed here last summer and returned with the hope of just enjoying the cabin, but boy did we get much more. We got to know Emily and her family much better and all their farm animals: horses, sheep, guinea hens, cows and dogs. The wrap around porch was wonderful as we sat outside with a book in the morning and in the evenings with cocktails. We were fortunate enough to see the sheep being led out every morning and led home in the evening. Also we got to know Fuzzy (dog) who likes to come for a scratch behind his years and a drink of water. During the day we headed out to hike: Roaring River, Cummins Falls, Burgess Falls, and Standing Stone. We had a nice visit checking out Livingston and Cookeville. We did a day trip to Nashville which was a 1.5 hour ride one way.
The cabin offers comfort and a way to just relax. We really enjoyed getting to know Emily and David who always made themselves available if there was a question or a situation that need to be handled. We are already planning on returning next year. Thank you Emily for making us feel comfortable and welcomed.
