This beautiful historic village boasts an array of excellent eateries, friendly inns, independent and bespoke shops, art galleries and a bowling green. At the centre of the village stands a splendid long green known as the Orry, the perfect place to enjoy a stroll or a picnic. Golfers will be delighted with the local Bonnyton Golf Course, Rowallan Castle Golf Course (12 miles) and Dundonald Links (23 miles). Attractions close by, include Whitelee Windfarm and National Museum of Rural Life (4 miles), Rouken, and Calderglen Country Park and Zoo (6 miles). For equestrian enthusiasts, there are many centres in the local area. Or visit the vibrant city of Glasgow for the day only 14 miles.
