„This place was very charming and in an excellent location. very charming, clean, etc. The only things to watch out for are: The stair are small and steep. It was fine for us, but an older person of someone without great balance may not want to stay there. Because of the location (in a charming old village) it was hard to find when we arrived. It was fine, but you you need to arrive after dark make arrangements to have the host meet you.“

„We loved this place as soon as we set our eyes on it, both from the outside and the inside. Plenty of space in all rooms and everything else that you'd need, from wood to make a fire to a few biscuits and tea. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Lovely grounds too. Not too far from the hills for walking or visiting nearby villages and towns. Plenty of local walks too. The pub up the road, The Butchers Arms serves excellent food as well as drinks. All in all, an excellent place to stay. Thank you. “

„We have just come back from 4 nights at Jess Cottage and cannot fault the property. The host was amazing, very responsive with questions and even gave me a free night of stay due to a mix up with the booking. They have thought and catered for everything such as a fully equipped kitchen, bunk beds for the kids, the small details like a variety of board games, tv in every bedroom, kayaks and so much more. I have been to the estate a few times and would not hesitate to stay at Jess Cottage again.“

„Our second stay here and excellent once again especially as the owners kindly accepted a change of plans due to one of our dogs requiring medical care. The house is clean, warm, tidy and well thought out. Parking is plentiful and easy. Access to the forest is literally across the road directly onto a path that has not changed in the 50 years I’ve been walking it. Seeing deer and boar on almost a daily basis was great and the dogs were happy free running without the worry of the bears, lynx and ...

No real downside just the street around a little busy especially at school times but cottages has such thick walls you weren’t really aware of Traffic. Ravens in the trees around cottage could be a little noisy . Overall a truly enjoyable stay at Church Cottage ,“
