Review:****Misleading Listing & Disappointing Experience**I booked this Grand Junction vacation rental based on the listing's description, and unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations.First, upon arrival, we were unable to enter the property as the deadbolt was engaged from the inside. We had to wait approximately 25 minutes for housekeeping to arrive and let us in, which was a frustrating start to our vacation. The property itself differed significantly from the advertised description. The listing implied a lawn, but the yard was primarily dirt with a sign warning of pesticide use, which is concerning given that the property is advertised as pet-friendly. We also found numerous cigarette butts in the yard, despite the 'no smoking' rule. The 'private' patio was not private. It was separated from an adjacent unit only by a curtain and overlooked other rental units and parking areas, lacking the sense of seclusion we anticipated. Additionally, there was excessive road noise from both the street the property was on and from the main road, which made it difficult to relax.Inside, the microwave handle was broken. The unit was also heavily scented with multiple plug-in air fresheners, creating an overwhelming and unpleasant odor that required us to open the windows.Overall, the discrepancies between the listing and the actual property, combined with the issues with cleanliness, security, and noise levels, made for a disappointing stay.
