It was absolutely ok . Clean space, good, comfortable beds . Quiet. Nice service. Only one thing - the bathroom door was impossible to close in room 107
Felt extremely unsafe and uncomfortable with the area surrounding the property. Doors opening to the outside parking lot with homeless people wandering around. I decided not to stay the night and ate the cost. Safety above all else.
It smelled like urine and marijuana in the halls. During the weekend, there were drunk guests being extremely loud and noisy from 4am-8am. The shower was lukewarm at best and the shower head seemed to be malfunctioning. I wish I would have spent the extra $20 to stay somewhere a little nicer.
Upon check in I was told my room had been given away. Tried to accommodate my family by separating us into two roomsâŠ.not great since it was just me and my two kids. Also had pre-booked a rollaway that was a beach chair with an inch think mattress on it. The rooms were next to each other but the air conditioning in one wasnât working. We left and how to find a new hotel at 11:00 at night. Not the best experience.
The stay was good value. The room was clean and spacious, there's good parking (it wasn't busy season when we visited though) and the breakfast was decent. My main complaint is that the bathroom door needed fixing, it was unlockable and dragged along the floor. The indoor pool was closed when we visited. The place is a few minutes drive from downtown Grand Rapids. The staff was courteous and helpful, and overall our stay was pleasant.
The first room they tried to give as was alll torn apart. Mattress leaning up against walls, frames tipped up and 2 can of insect bomb sitting in the middle of the room. Second room smelled musty and damp. Turned heat on and left, 3 hrs later came back and was hit with a marijuana smell in the room
Property looked rundown and sketcy when pulling up. We decided to stay anyway. The rooms were clean, nice sheets and pillows.
It was fine, just staying the night after a concert.
