« One night stay in this historic house now being used as a hotel located a short walking distance from Hawick centre set in an attractive garden with a wonderful park nearby. Lovely interior with large attractive lounge, entrance hallway and staircase. Large bedroom and en suite bathroom. The Large king-size bed was firm and therefore not that comfortable. Breakfast was a standard traditional option with cereal and juices. Not much interaction with staff except at check in and ordering breakfast....

« We spent the weekend there. Our first visit. Longtime Blackpool visitors and decided we needed a change from our usual haunt of the past 20 years. A large north shore older hotel but the basement pool facility is now closed. Our 10 years old granddaughter likes a pool. Quite pleased with the Doric. « As always the staff were wonderful, special shoutout to Martin and Nathan. We stayed in the president room this time which has its own separate livingroom, ceiling fans in both rooms. On the first floor, turn right as you leave the lift and the room is just through the doors, turn left as you come out of the lift and you are at the restaurant. Food was good,especially breakfast, meals are buffet style. Parking is £10 per night although there is on street parking next to the hotel. Something to...
