The house itself was very enjoyable. There was ample space for our group of nine and we really enjoyed the large living space to not feel cramped. While eating outside on the wrap around porch is nice sometimes, it's impossible for the entire group to eat together, especially inside. While the listing states that there's only one bathroom, I must have skipped that when reading the home was fit for ten people. While we made it work, it definitely made the weekend more challenging. The dock was nice for fishing, but I wouldn't recommend swimming. The water plants are more overgrown than the pictures show, which can happen with seasonality, but it didn't feel safe to swim without getting legs caught and the plant life brought a plethora of turtles. Be warned if you plan to fish that you'll catch so many turtles too. This location is great if you want a relaxing weekend to sit by a fire or play games like charades inside and is super close to the bridge to get over to Louisiana. But I wouldn't recommend this lake as a vacation destination as there isn't even boat rental places nearby, you need to bring all your own stuff. That's not on the property, just affected our overall weekend.
Overall, I would recommend this home, we felt very comfortable and safe.
