« A good value property and comfortable with all we needed for a short stay. We appreciated the items left for making breakfast and good communication/information from the owner. We found it ideal for visiting Oxford with just a short drive to Park and Ride. »

« Ganz wunderbares altes Pub, sehr authentisch, hervorragendes Frühstück.

« The welcome was very appropriate and kind. The rooms were impeccable, well-appointed, thoughtful amenities, great bathroom, lighting and sun protection was perfect, and more. Breakfast was healthy and balanced. I was very happy with my stay, and all my benchmarks were satisfied. The people always make a stay better or worse, and here I say thanks for the hospitality. »

« We had a lovely meal in the restaurant but unfortunately the stay was less impressive. Having booked a room for 3 it was set up for 2 with just 2 towels, 2 mugs, 2 glasses and 1 tea bag. At breakfast we waited 50 minutes for our cooked breakfast with no apology or explanation. When it finally arrived we asked if we could have some toast with it only to be told that they do not do toast with the English Breakfast! The tea was lukewarm and had to be returned and the 'fresh' orange juice was...

« Tout etait tres bien Je recommande vivement »

« Beautiful 18th Century pub in quiet village location. Taken to room, lovely decor, big bed, bathroom was a little tired. Shower had no hot water when I tried at 4.30pm, thankfully had some the following morning. Had a wonderful night sleep, a shame some kind of breakfast is not included in the price. Welcoming staff and lovely locals. Would I stay again, yes. »

« Clean and convenient hotel, reception told me the way for a nice run around the hotel. Slightly disappointed that when I asked where were the recycling bins a member of staff told there was none but that I can leave my rubbish in the room and that they will be ´segregated’ later. Sounded not really possible. »

« The rooms out front are very noisy as built along a busy street and sound insulation is very basic, good breakfast »
