This was all we needed for our visit to Homer. Its location - proximity to town and the Homer Spit - was ideal for us. Clean, quiet, and access to a fire pit, restaurant, and picnic tables. We loved watching the seaplanes. With earplugs I didn't hear them except the first morning (6 am!), and I'm a light sleeper. The area is otherwise so quiet! Blackout curtains in the bedroom were great. There was no interaction with the host while we stayed which wasn't a problem! We appreciated the kitchen set up, but would have liked another few glasses, coffee cups, silver settings, plates, bowls. We weren't going to use the dishwasher until we left but had to wash dishes often. No recycling (maybe it's hard in Homer but a family member's rental home had it).Another few bath and hand towels for our 4-night stay would also have been appreciated.Bring flops/slippers - the owners ask that you remove shoes in the house. All in all a great stay!
Our stay at this VRBO on a pristine seaplane lake was absolutely amazing! The views were spectacular, and watching planes land and take off was the highlight of our trip. Not only did we get to enjoy the seaplane base, but we also made a reservation to fly with them on one of their excursions, which made it the absolute perfect location.
The convenience of having a restaurant onsite, along with a fully equipped kitchen, made our stay even more enjoyable.
The place was clean and very comfortable, making it the perfect spot for our first visit to Alaska.
