„When I arrived I was shown to my room by the owner who was very friendly, but as soon as we entered the room she noticed the bathroom was flooded. She explained that one of the staff members had been fiddling with a pressure reducing valve and it must have caused the shower to run with the door open. They cleared the water up, but the carpet was wet through by the bathroom door and the room smelt damp all night. Next morning I went to breakfast an hour before I needed to leave. I waited 45 ...

„Wir waren mit dem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hier nicht zufrieden. Das Haus liegt an einer Landstraße mit lautem Verkehr bis in die Nacht. Unser Zimmer und das Bad waren sehr klein und lagen direkt über dem Eingang zum Hotel und Restaurant, somit hatten wir Lärm von den anderen Gästen und vom Parkplatz bis spät abends. Insgesamt war das Haus recht hellhörig. Die Ausstattung des Zimmers mag Geschmackssache sein, aber es gab keinen Kühlschrank, der Safe funktionierte nicht und das mobile Klimagerät ...

„A very special place to stay as this was the family home of Florence Nightingale. We stayed in two bedrooms which were the rooms that she grew up in before she went to Crimea. This is not a hotel. It’s more of a guest house with a few of the rooms rented out on a nightly basis. The property is accessed through several gates so it’s on very private land. The views are amazing of the local countryside and there’s a very beautiful garden around the house and sheep in the fields a little further ...

„One thing marks down the property. Breakfast was not complete. We went for dinner at the White Hart and they had gluten free cereals. I had to ask for orange juice at breakfast. Also, we came back at 22:50 on a Friday night and asked for a beer. We were refused but another resident was served beer. There doesn’t seem to be consistency on food menus or services across the group pubs.“

„Das Hotel ist etwas ausserhalb des Ortes, nicht auf anhieb zu finden, liegt etwas zurück gesetzt an der Straße nach Buxton. Wir hatten ein ausreichend großes Zweibettzimmer, dass Bad war überraschend groß. in einem der Betten war die Matratze durchgelegen, das zweite Bett war in Ordnung. Es gab einen Wasserkocher, sowie Tee und Kaffee auf dem Zimmer. Wlan hat einandfrei funktioniert, allerdings hatten wir im Haus keinen Handyempfang, was aber nicht schlimm war. Das englische Frühstück war gut ...
