Staff was very friendly and service minded.
The hotel itself was OK, but not up to the level which can be expected e.g. in Taipei.
There was mold in several places in the bathroom. The room smelt awkward and so did the corridor.
The breakfast buffet was large but of average quality. Fresh fruit was almost lacking.
So the hotel is ok if you need to stay in Hualien, e.g. to visit Taroko national park. Don't expect too much though.
