An old house in the middle of an old town that left us pleasantly surprised! We weren't expecting much, but the price for two nights was the same as it was at a nearby hotel and we got to stay with our family who was meeting us there, to visit more family. It was a no brainer decision. The house was clean and decorated with intention- so cute! I do wish we had a TV in the bedroom for when we wanted to lay down and relax a little, and a bathroom on the first floor for a little added convenience. That said, it is an older house and this is just how they were built all them years ago. True to what I read ahead of time, the house is very conveniently located in town with much of what you might be looking for in walking distance. There was a little street noise and you can hear the train go by,but never heard a whistle, and all in all it was still pretty quiet. We walked down to a local coffee shop- Downtown Joe. They were busy but moved through everybody quickly. On our way out on Sunday we decided to try the Wildflower Cafe, but I'm not sure its still called that. Do not sleep on this place- so good! I also am gluten free and they had options for me! I got a GF pancake with my eggs and bacon breakfast, and grabbed a GF brownie for down the road. They also had GF bread and wraps available and a host of other GF baked goods. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS! I've been here before but never stayed in town and I am not officially a fan. The cutest little town. Worth the stay ;-)
