My daughter got married in Huntsville which was the reason for our stay. My husband loves historical places and this house did not disappoint. So much to see and do within walking distance. We enjoyed the comfort of this home and all Huntsville had to offer. The wedding venue at Burritt Mountain was beautiful and the scenic views were stunning. Such a beautiful place.
Everything was clean and beautiful. The beds super comfy. Everything we neded was supplied and communication with host was great. Our group will definitely stay here again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Public House! Being able to walk to coffee shops, restaurants, Childrenâs Museum, and the Big Spring Park was a special treat! The amenities- fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, smart tvs, and back patio also made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommend & would love to visit again!
We were in town for a volleyball tournament at the VBC and needed a place to spread out in. Was a perfect spot to use for what we needed. It was walkable to the VBC, good access to a variety of food options and close to a grocery to make some meals and snacks. I took my son to the Space and Rocket Center while we were there and was an easy drive.place was very clean and beds were very comfortable. I slept like a rock. We had a frozen HVAC unit and the manager was very quick to respond with quick instruction and it was not an issue at all. It was all very easy.it was a good space to unwind after a day at the courts and a good place to start the day with coffee and breakfast.
The house is beautiful inside and out. It has a very modern, comfortable feel inside with plenty of history to the building and the area. We have family in Huntsville so can say with confidence that the location is excellent for walking all over downtown and also driving quickly just about everywhere. Within walking distance you will find excellent restaurants, coffee houses, late night music, museums, and Big Spring park. The neighborhood is safe and quiet and ideal for an early morning run. We loved this place! What a treat.
Huntsville trip to see mom for Thanksgiving. House was perfect. Enough room to enjoy 7 of us seating around Kitchen or just lounging in living room. This is an old house so keep that in mind when renting, as there are some corks. Close to everything downtown Huntsville has to offer. Few suggestions need broom and or some cleaning items. My wife likes it clean and was unable to simply sweep the floor. Also not affecting our stay but could yours, the house shares part of the house with an office. This might bother you doing the week if you are hanging around doing the day.
Great property with all the conveniences. Awesome location with an easy walk to restaurants and historic sites. House was used as a gathering spot for out of town company staying close by that could easily walk from close by hotels. Would definitely stay at this property again!
Great Stay, But Disruptions and Cleanliness Issues Need Improvement
We recently stayed at this Vrbo and overall, it was a nice place. The home itself was well-maintained, in a great location, and had most of what we needed for a comfortable stay.
However, there were a few things that detracted from our experience. Parking is very limitedâjust two spotsâand on two occasions, the owner or workers took up one of those spots when we needed it. They were also working in areas we didnât have access to, which felt intrusive. The noise was quite disruptive, especially when we had people trying to nap, and their demeanor was rude at times.
Additionally, we found trash under the bed in the master bedroom, which made us question how thoroughly the rest of the place had been cleaned.
Beautifully maintained historic inn converted into a spacious 3 bedroom home with contemporary updates to kitchen and baths. Itâs in the heart of historic Huntsville, among grand, antebellum homes, and a short work into town for a number of popular restaurants options. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
This elegant, spacious, sophisticated property is a jewel in downtown Huntsville. The historic exterior hides a sleek, modern interior. The shaded, private deck is furnished for additional dining and relaxation. Linens are immaculate, and the kitchen-dining area is huge. All of the rooms are large and gracious. The location is perfect for walking around this historic neighborhood. My out of town guests were very impressed. The generous host was immediately available for any questions.
As life long Huntsvillians, we love the history of the area. This property is an integral part of that history and it was fantastic staying there. The house is very well maintained for such an old structure. So much originality adds to the charm. The amenities and area are perfect for getting anywhere in town pretty easily and the property manager was super responsive and great to work with. Highly recommend!
I have stayed at dozens of VRBO properties, and I can say without hesitation that this historic house was the most charming and memorable place I have yet to enjoy. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, but more importantly, you could feel the love and care that was put into the update/remodel of this exquisite property. My guests were in awe of its beauty and proximity to some of the finest that Huntsville has to offer. I want to publicly thank my hosts. It was perfect. If you are planning a trip to Alabama, I can tell you honestly this should be your destination. Thank you again.
