This guesthouse is spread out over many utilitarian-looking buildings on a pretty hillside. Our room (three beds) was nothing fancy but was very clean and worked well as we out all day exploring. We had a middle room in one of the long buildings and noted that the walls were thin, but most other residents were quiet and kept early hours so not a big deal.
Breakfast (included) was a continential breakfast buffet with yogurts, pastries, bread, sliced meats and cheeses, hard boiled eggs etc. it was served in a large bright dining room and everyone followed spacing and sanitizing/mask-wearing protocols, which we appreciated. There was also seating outside.
It was easy and quick to get from our lodging to Húsavík and to Myvatn—this makes it a great base for exploring the area!
