I would have given an excellent rating; however, the shower in room 110 would barely drain. We reported it to the front desk the beginning of our second and the third day, but it wasn’t ever fixed. When I left at the end of our third night I reported it again. Also, the ice machine on the 1st floor didn’t work.

We asked for maintenance to come and fix the water issue in the bathroom and basically was told we were not having standing water. The bathroom sink had standing water. There was a moldy ice bucket when we first got to the room and had to get a new one. The window leaked onto the floor. There were cigarette ashes in the nightstand, the ceiling was all molding and wet looking. Just overall poor condition and when I said this to the front desk person she said ok and then took a phone call mid conversation and then brushed me off and asked if I wanted the bill emailed it printed.

NO ELEVATORS....2nd floor room, so must carry all luggage up two flights of steps! Very small screen/NON HDTV! Very dated/old hotel! Tub/shower not clean.. had soap scum/ rings from last traveler(s). Very limited breakfast options. Had a suite..so we did have ample space and two bathrooms, which was nice. Overall, would not recommend!!!

The room was fine and clean. It smelled a bit of urine. Not sure if it is a pet friendly hotel and could have been from that. Main issue was that our toilet was not functioning properly. Wouldn’t flush. They tried to give us a different room but it wasn’t made up and since it was late we asked to keep our room for sleep and use the other room for the toilet which they said was fine. Tried to use the other bar and that toilet didn’t work either. Ended up having to use the bathroom but the vending machines down the hall. Felt like an old college dorm with communal bathrooms.

We needed a hotel close to IUP. It was an older hotel, but clean and affordable. The front desk staff was super friendly. It was a very easy and quick check in. We really enjoyed live music at the Levity Brewery half a mile up the road.

Never again
The first room we were given was had a hole in the window the size of a cannon ball and it was locted between to rooms of college kids having a party. We got relocated to another room were the AC unit was not working right and at 3:00 a.m. it began to rain and the ceiling leaked right on the bed. The power also went off due to the storm. We spent the remainder of the night in the room with the leaking ceiling.

Most of facility has not been updated since the 1970's. Interior of facility smells like cigarette smoke. Whole place needs a refresh. Had to ask for trash to be emptied, towels replaced. Trash in hallway took three days to get emptied as it was overflowing. Rooms were clean, with laminate flooring, which is much better than carpet and is a plus.

The hotel was pretty noisy. In the hall you could hear other rooms pretty loudly. We could also hear people in the hallway and other rooms from in our room. Bathtub would not drain and filled up while i took a shower. The towel rack was apparently broke or poorly rigged so when i grabbed a towel the metal piece fell on my foot. I put it back how it was and it seems it was probably broke for a long time and not fixed. Tissue box was completely empty and we had 1 roll of toilet paper which was already opened and not a lot left. Cleanliness coulr have been much better for as empty as the hotel was. The fridge was sticky everywhere inside like something had spilled. The sheets were linty/nappy. I assume clean but just very used and old. The bed made noise all night when i hardly moved. The air loudly kicks on and off constantly through the night. I think i slept for only 2 hours from all the noise. I was overlooking all of this until i woke up to use the restroom and cut my foot off the lifted up tile! The lifted up piece is so sharp. Its right in the middle of the floor so i can't see how it has been ignored or missed when cleaning. Its been 2 weeks almost and theres still a cut on my foot. I was not planning on writing a review but after further consideration the blatant ignorance to safety concerns like broken towel rack and sharp tile in the middle of the floor its only a matter of time until someone else gets hurt here.

Not the best choice.
Reality did not match the advertising. Breakfast was advertised as breakfast buffet but other than waffles most was cold choices. There was no eggs, bacon or sausage, biscuits and gravy. I chose this so as to not have to leave for breakfast so obviously I was disappointed. I could have paid less elsewhere and purchased warm breakfast with the difference in cost.
