I wouldn't know what the property looked like as I never received check in information. This "boutique hotel" has no on site staff, no direct number to contact, the whole company is essentially run by AI. It's actually obnoxious how horrible this experience was. The town was host to a convention and thank goodness I found one hotel with an available room. I took a red eye and arrived at the hotel exhausted and just wanting to rest. I stood outside for over an hour and a half just trying to get inside (which i never did) or get someone on the phone (they never answered and routed me through an ai system.) I never stayed because I couldn't get in and if you have the opportunity to stay at one of their properties do the exact opposite.

Great location. It was a full apartment with a hybrid loft style bedroom. It had a great view of down town and was like a block and half from city center. Room was new and updated- and above shove in a very cool historic building that looked like the common areas had been restored to its original design while also being new looking:) I’d stay here again for sure!

The place itself is decent, clean and cozy. A bit if a strange layout with a few stairs in the entrance to the apartment but not a big deal. Host was very responsive and communicative. However, there was no washer or dryer in the place, unlike the photos. Also, the bedroom could use some blackout curtains in the window. Also, it smelled pretty strongly of bleach. But my biggest gripe is that after you reserve the place, you’re required to sign a lengthy agreement that basically allows them to access and use your personal information. I did not appreciate that.

After filling out the multiple information sheets the code still did not work to get in and it's a nightmare to call and get the code corrected. Get into the room and the Wi-Fi doesn't work. Took 2 days to get that corrected. Then because we had extended for a night prior to arrival, the code didn't work the day where's before we're supposed to leave and one towel for the whole stay. Not worth the so-called value.

I've stayed at multiple CozySuites. I did it because other members of my family were staying there at a discount. My first room with them was awful, their suites on Mass Ave. They border the Rathskellar beer garden, lots of outdoor shows during the weekend. It's crazy loud. I tried to get my room changed, they only had rooms on the same side (but also didn't know this for some reason? I had to walk to the rooms myself to see where they were). Another room, the 2nd bathroom smelled like smoke and they didn't do anything about it. The fridge water/ice wasn't working. They fixed it the 4th and last day I was there, the water had been shut off. Another had a door to the outside, like a motel. I couldn't get back into the parking garage to get to my car without walking to the other side of the building or walking thru the car entry, which had "no pedestrian" signs and I didn't feel comfortable doing that with my stroller. Dish towels hanging on the oven that were dirty, uncomfortable beds, light switches that don't work, lamps missing light bulbs. One of my stays they texted and asked how my first night was and then didnt respond to any of my texts. A cracked plastic dining chair that was dangerous to sit in. Last straw was they cancelled my room 10 minutes after check in time the day I was to arrive (I was en route with my two young children) and said they had flagged me as being fraudulent and wouldnt tell me what happened so I could address whatever it was. Apartment had an obvious leak and water damage, compounded by the rainstorm that came through on our trip. The dishwasher was in a sorry state and full of rust, silverware in the kitchen was also rusty. The beds and pillows and sheets were "fine" but of obvious low quality (I've had better at cheap hotels). Space wise it was perfect for 4-5 people needing a place to crash during a convention and it was conveniently located. The building, the "Block" has seen far better times, it's a ghost town inside, feels like a scene from the "Backrooms". Everything inside the building is in some state of disrepair with only 2 of 8 elevators working and those two clearly on their last legs. It was noisy at night, you could here the broken elevators opening and closing all night, and the vibrations felt like trucks coming through the room. Loud enough to wake you up at all hours. All of this would be fine, if the unit wasn't 5 times the cost of a downtown hotel room. You'd think for the price we paid, you'd have a quality place to stay. Will not be using the Block Cozy Suites again.

Do not let these people fool you from what they show online is completely different. When you walk in the door first off I was hit by a horrible smell. It’s probably had something to do with the fact that their AC did not work. I come inside from scorching hot weather outside just to be met with the same weather inside.! I called Expedia and Cozy suites several times about this issue and all they keep saying is do you want to cancel your reservation?? then the day of checkout time before it’s even time to check out. I’m already being rushed out of there. Housekeeping keeps walking in on my family, making my daughter very uncomfortable.! I paid $600 for two nights to sweat to not be able to cook dinner. There’s no pots and pans there was only one towel. Do your research before you get places off-line!
