très belle (et grande) chambre dans une maison isolée dans la nature (à proximité d'un petit village touristique). Très bon petit déjeuner avec de super produits (le meilleur de notre séjour en Écosse). La propriétaire est très accueillante

Pleasant stay

Hard to find we ended up on property couple of roads down where the neighbours said we weren’t the first who were trying to find this place! However location is pretty, on a hill with a good countryside view. Interior looks newly refurbished (beware of creaky floorboards). Location is very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast is made to order and there’s something even for fussy eaters. Rooms are cosy and thoughtfully decorated. The only problem is the bed is way too soft and sinks in the middle. We didn’t have any internet as the router was not working that day but were advised to walk to the adjacent hostel and use theirs for free. Otherwise it was a great stay.

Gorgeous, remote location. Quiet and clean. Close to the Loch Ness Exhibition. Local village has a lovely restaurant with huge scotch selection. Couldn’t have asked for better.

Beautiful place to stay

A beautiful place to stay, lovely area with a fantastic view, nice and quiet. Shona the owner was a lovely hostess, creating a very nice breakfast each morning. Would certainly highly recommend.

Fabulous

Will return...we had a lovely welcome and a very good room and facilities...couldnt ask for more. Very good place for sightseeing around and about...an hour or so from the whiskey trail and an hour from Cromarty and eco venture dolphin ride.

Good location for Highlands hiking

Nice staff, clean rooms and nice location for outdoor experiences. Long drive to Inverness and be prepared for noise between rooms.

Quiet, beautiful view of rolling green hills.

Our stay with Shona and her sister could not have been nicer. It was one of our favorite settings and places in Scotland. I was, at first, very concerned because I thought I booked in the city of Inverness. The Highlander is about 25 minutes or so outside of this, closer to Loch Ness. It was fine and actually wonderful because Shona gave perfect directions, the room and B and B were excellent in every way. I would highly recommend it.

A hidden gem that should be sought out

The highlander is in an amazing location, with lovely views of the Scottish countryside. It's a lovely quiet location and the breakfasts are great. Happily book a stay here in the future

Lovely, Quiet Spot in the Highlands

The Highlander is a great place to stay. The sisters who run it are very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was delicious, and the location is perfect. It is a good hub for accessing much of the Highlands, including Loch Ness, Glen Affric, and Beauly, but it's also not too far from Skye and Fort William, either. The quiet, peaceful location is perfect, and I will definitely be staying there again next time I'm in the area.

Beautiful b&b with lovely host

Our stay was wonderful. Shona & her sister Sandra were exceptionally gracious. The room was clean, comfortable and had amazing views from our window. It definitely felt more like home than staying in a cold, sterile hotel. But really our stay came down to being so great because our host. If you want friendly people, stay here. If we ever go back to Inverness, we’d stay again and we’ll certainly tell anyone who is traveling to stay here.

Great place to stay

We had a little difficulty finding it because it is out the way and because there is a nearby property with a similar name. The room itself was very comfortable located in a beautiful house. The breakfast was outstanding. The owner was very friendly and welcoming.

A lovely place to stay

Had a wonderful 2 night stay while visiting the Inverness area. Had a little trouble getting heavy luggage upstairs but had a clean, comfortable room waiting for us after a long flight and drive. Breakfast was divine both days. And I can't say enough nice things about the owner. She was always available and very helpful.

The Highlander is the perfect place to stay near Drumnadrochit. The property itself is beautifully peaceful with a great outlook and Shona is the perfect host. Our room was wonderful, clean and perfectly presented. Thankyou Shona for first informing us of the free taxi to the Loch Ness Inn and then organising it for us. Upon our return we had a lovely nights sleep and a great breakfast the following morning. Only sorry we had not booked for longer. Next time we will.

A very pleasant stay

This is a modern and comfortable B&B. The room was large any beautifully laid out with all the features well presented. I would definitely recommend this B&B.

Immersi nel verde in una casa poco scozzese

Struttura nuova ancora in costruzione almeno per l'esterno. Tutto molto nuovo e senza anima,ma confortevole. Garbate le proprietarie. La colazione buona con prodotti locali. Molto rumoroso per via del pavimento che scricchiola ad ogni passo.

Lovely B&B - perfect for exploring Loch Ness

The Highlander is an excellent choice for couples or families exploring Loch Ness. Rooms are clean, spacious and well appointed with private baths and all the amenities. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful with directions and suggestions for meals and tours, and sent us on our way with a delicious Scottish breakfast. Highly recommend!!

Quiet location

We stayed at this B&B for 2 nights & totally enjoyed the experience. Shona was a lovely host & nothing was too much trouble for her. The room was clean & spacious & the shower was wonderful. breakfast plentiful & delicious. It was a bit further from Inverness than we originally thought & difficult to find as our gps took us to a different place.
