Die unterkunft ist soweit gut. Beim genaueren homschauen bzw Nutzung fällt aber auf, dass vieles reparaturbedürftig ist. Das kopfteil vom bett fiel ab beim anlehnen, aus der wasserleitumg kam kaum wasser, die lampen funktionieren nicjt alle. Die Frühstückzeit beginnt erst halb 9 und endet berwits halb 10. Für einen urlaub und echte frühstückgeniesser ist es sehr kurz und aber auch recht spät. Denn wenn man etwas vorhat oder an das andere ende der insel zur fähre muss, kann es knapp werden. Ausserdem ist alles recht knapp gehalten und man muss ständig nachordern. Ansomsten ist es aber sauber und ordentlich. Personal freundlich.

re Headboard - we were waiting for new beds, which have arrived. Re water, plumber was called to sort out problem.With reference to breakfast times, we serve between 8.30 and 9.30 am - not time stated by you. However, we do accommodate guests if they require an earlier breakfast.

A comfortable stay at Dunvegan House.
My wife & I had a loved time on Arran and we found Dunvegan House to be in an excellent location where everything that Brodick had to offer was within walking distance. The proprietor and staff were friendly and helpful. Our room, perhaps a little dated, was spotlessly clean, had TV, tea/coffee making facilities and a fabulous sea view. It was it was refreshed each day and was given fresh towels daily. We didn’t use the communal lounge, but it looked comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Personally, I would have liked to have seen black pudding and/or a haggis slice as part of the “Full Scottish Breakfast” but there was fruit, cereal and yoghurt’s available. Due to very poor weather we could not get a ferry for our return home, so returned to Dunvegan House and and luckily was given our room back for an extra night. We did manage to get on a ferry the following day after a 03:30 rise and a 14 mile drive to Lochranza to ensure a space on the first crossing to Claonaig which was scheduled to leave at 08:15 but again, due to weather conditions, eventually left at around 11:15

Wonderful overnight stay
We had a wonderful sea view room, even though our booking via hotels.com had not gone through to the B&B for some reason. Book direct would be safer. Lovely setting in a fantastic location and lovely breakfast. We even got a discount because of some rowdy guys in the room next door that we believe caused the fire alarm to be set off at 01:30. It was not an issue really and certainly not the owners fault so a refund was not really warranted but Helen insisted.

This was the ideal base for our holiday to Arran - we couldn’t have had a nicer welcome or been looked after better. The room was super comfortable with everything we could need, and breakfast each morning was incredible. Highly recommend!

Can't recommend enough!
The most beautiful Guest House in such a perfect location! The views are outstanding and it's a few minutes walk to a bar, cafe, ATM and shop! Helen the owner who greeted us was so lovely and welcoming, we booked last minute due to ferry cancellations and Helen accommodated us last minute. We had the best cooked breakfast in the morning! Highly recommend.

Perfect B&B in Brodick, superb host
Helen was a superb host. We were in Brodick for a run race and she was flexible with our breakfast arrangements, even washed the run gear for us. Breakfast was plentiful and cooked perfectly. Location and view from here across the bay is magical. Never seen so many rainbows! Thanks Helen for making our holiday a memorable one.

Just back after an excellent stay at this guess house. Our twin room was really nice and spacious. Breakfast was first class and best of all the owner was so welcoming and extremely accomodating. All this and a very reasonable price (for a B and B right on the sea front) definitely warrants a return visit. Roll on next spring.

Plus points: amazing breakfast with delicious free range local eggs; amazing view; room had everything you need - hairdryer, toiletries, tv, coat hangers, storage space. Negatives: place is in need of modernisation- fittings and furnishings; our bed was extremely hard, which sadly made for a poor nights sleep; the house had a bit of a stale odour - not sure what; windows are old and not good at keeping out the noise of traffic; shower cubicle in need of a deep clean. Overall it was good, but I would hesitate to return given the price we paid.

Dunvegan House.
An excellent place to stay, close to the ferry, views from the breakfast table were breathtaking. Breakfast very nice( do try the Loch Fyne kippers) Made to feel very welcome by the staff, we would highly recommend Dunvegan House.
