I booked a room for me and my two boys (6&7) early in the morning using Expedia. The room totaled 385$ not including the 25$ parking and 25$ “resort fee” … Insane, but I needed a Mother’s Day away from our house that is under construction. I didn’t see that check in was at 4pm. Very late check in for a 400$ room if you ask me. I show up at 1:30 and am told I can’t check in until 4 as there was no availability for early check in. Ok that’s fine. I take my kids riding around and go grab a bite to eat. I finally show back up at 4pm to check in, and am told my room still isn’t ready. Over 400$ for this room… and still can’t get in at my very late 4pm check in… Finally I get to check in at 4:45. I do want to mention that the Lady at the front desk was overly sweet and very apologetic. But I feel like three bags of chips and a couple sparkling waters couldn’t make up for such a late check in to a room costing over 400$. I would have loved a compensation on late check out but was charged 60$ for an extra 2 hours the next morning…. Very frustrating. But.. whatcha gonna do…?

Older hotel, but remodeled nicely! First room had thre roaches upon entering, told front desk and was quickly moved to a different floor, no more bug sightings. The rest of the stay was comfortable and the beds were nice and clean. Lots of parking, although not enough spots for everyone on site and may have to park in across the street public parking area. Lots of upgrades here, modern decor, clean sheets. Water pressure is OK, water temp OK, tub is nothing special and bathrooms are small but room is cool! Even with the bug sighting, would consider staying again.

What a great hotel. Prior to checking in to Pacific 19, we stayed at a resort that was triple the price. P19 was much more cleaner than the resort. This is the first time staying at this hotel since I was a kid 25 years ago and I love what they’ve done to it. Feels like a high end boutique resort. Will definitely be staying here again. Front desk lady was very kind and welcoming.

Nice room, you have to pay extra for parking. But you can walk to several nice spots on the coast & restaurants. They let you check out chairs & towels for the beach. Our room view was of remodeling next door, meh, but should be better soon.

Older hotel that got a nice retro and hip upgrade in all the public areas. Coffee/espresso stand on premise is excellent (may not be for the Starbucks folks). It was at the end if the Kona beach strip and walkable to the area. Good vibe overall, would return.

The staff were phenomenal! Jade and Maria always were super helpful and pleasant. They hooked us up with everything we needed for a great beach day at no charge...beach towels, umbrella and chairs. They showed a genuine interest in how we were enjoying our trip. They were able to store our luggage for our evening flight. I enjoyed the complimentary yoga outside the pool and would have taken advantage of the bike rentals if we didn't have a young child with us. The bikes were brand new! The water filling station was also nice. The hotel is close to everything including the pier for cruise excursions. We enjoyed our sunset strolls every night! This hotel was a great find!
