Kapaa's historic main street has local restaurants, coffee, shops, and farmers markets, and the location sits conveniently between the North Shore and Poipu. It is an easygoing base for guests who want Kauai's green side, local town life, and beach access close together.



Getting Around:

Kapaa sits along Kauai's Royal Coconut Coast, about 15 to 20 minutes from Lihue Airport. A rental car is recommended for exploring the island, though the main strip along Kuhio Highway is walkable, with beaches, shops, restaurants, and the popular coastal path all within easy reach on foot. Grocery stores and casual dining are close by. Parking is generally available at condos and along the street, making this an easy, low stress base.
