  • La villa de luxe « Lydia » est située dans le hameau traditionnel de Karterados, à Santorin. Elle allie un caractère aristocratique à l’architecture et au style traditionnels des Cyclades, offrant ainsi une expérience d’hébergement unique.

    La grande maison peut accueillir jusqu’à 7 personnes. Et la petite maison ne sera ouverte que si vous êtes plus de 7 personnes !!!
    Si vous souhaitez disposer des deux maisons mais que vous êtes moins de 7 personnes, un supplément vous sera facturé pour la petite maison.

    L’emplacement
    La villa de luxe Lydia est située dans le hameau traditionnel du village de Karterados, à Santorin.
    Lydia est l’une des habitations troglodytes d’origine qui allie un caractère aristocratique à l’architecture et au style traditionnels locaux, offrant une expérience d’hébergement unique sur la célèbre île de Santorin.
    Il s’agit d’une villa privée divisée en deux maisons indépendantes, dotées de terrasses, de cours, de patios, d’un barbecue et d’un bain à remous extérieur bain à remous, pouvant accueillir des groupes d’amis et des familles. La maison principale comprend trois chambres, deux salles de bains, une cuisine entièrement équipée, un salon et une salle à manger.
    La deuxième maison est une maisonnette, dotée d’un salon spacieux et d’un coin repas, d’une salle de bains, d’une kitchenette et, à l’étage supérieur, d’une chambre avec salle de bains attenante.
    Les deux maisons sont louées comme une seule propriété privée et peuvent accueillir confortablement jusqu’à 10 personnes.

Santorini dream vacation rental

This property and home are so beautiful with everything in traditional Greek style. The home is gorgeous and we had everything we needed. The property manager was responsive, kind and thoughtful and took excellent care of us.

Beautiful villa tucked into the caves of Thira

We had a great stay while island hopping - Vera was awesome and extremely knowledgeable for local areas to go and what to do if you have not planned anything (we had not. The Villa is beautiful - our kids loved being tucked away in a cave - it was nice and cool at night and plenty of outdoor space for the adults to relax when the kids went to bed. Easy to walk around and easy to quickly get a taxi when you need one.

Plenty of room for all of us. Clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed. Central location on the island and not too far from Fira and the restaurants and shopping. Kids enjoyed the hot tub with the view of the Aegean in the distance. Cool architecture and a cozy home for our stay.

Over the Pizza Shop

What a wonderful condo! With 4 bedrooms, we all had our own and there were 3 bathrooms, which were small, but we managed.We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the people and vehicles go by. It was a bit loud, but we didn't care.The loudness of the outside world did not disturb our sleep, and it was fun "living" over a pizza shop which offered much more than pizza.

Great neighborhood, but there is a distance to walk.

It is a beautiful cave home, built 200 years ago. The biggest miss was we were not told about the dehumidifiers and things got damp very quickly. Once i realized the dehumidifiers had shut off, we dumped them 3 times a day to keep up with the water collected. The design of the home is quite different, whereas the bathroom is right off the kitchen and the main bedroom is clear at the other end of the house. (We realize that when this house was built there was no plumbing or electricity.)And watch the steps between rooms, as there are small ledges that are a big tripping hazard. We loved the location. We were able to walk to Fira with no problems. The neighborhood has no cars, so be prepared to walk in with your luggage in tow. Check in was easy, the host was very nice.

Traditional charm but Not quite worth it

The cave villa was beautiful and authentic feeling which I liked. With a gorgeous courtyard and outside tub and balcony. The rest left a lot to be desired. It’s listed as three bedrooms when in fact there is one bedroom (with glass shutters so not privacy to the main living room) and that bedroom has a loft above it that they count as a second bedroom but there is no privacy and you cannot stand in the loft unless you are under 5’ 6 inches. And the third bedroom just has a curtain separating it from the dining room. Also the beds were so extremely hard two of us had to sleep on the couch. For me, while I loved the traditional decor and charm the lack of private bedrooms and hard beds made it a no go for us. Also there is little to no service in the place which is hard if you have to connect with family.

Must be fit

This location is charming but there is no access by vehicles so it is a little walk to meet your driver. We had to pull all of our suitcases down several streets which we were unprepared for. Okay for the younger members in our group, a little more difficult for the older ones. Great space for a larger group with a lovely rooftop gathering spot as well as a courtyard dining area. We were often (daily) without water and this caused some grief, for showering was extremely difficult and when we did manage a few drops they were often cold! There is a hidden step into the kitchen where a few in our group took a couple of nasty spills. Overall it is a lovely space and we were grateful to use both houses. This home isn't close to anything so you need to rent a vehicle or arrange for a driver and a pickup spot. The manager was lovely and met up with our driver and then walked us to the property even helping with pulling our luggage. If you intend to stay put and relax this would be ideal, if you intend to get up and go everyday then be prepared for some hiking! The small outdoor pool/hot tub looks to be a 1 or 2 person.

Wow!

I celebrated my 60th birthday with a group of friends. With 4 bathrooms for 6 ladies (yay!) wonderful top patio and lots of beds! Short distance to everything but out of the noise! We woke up in the morning to gorgeous sunrises and beautiful church bells. Santorini you have my heart! 5 stars all the way! Gracious host! And I would stay again in a heartbeat!
