There are some things that were great about this place and some things that were terrible. Overall, the pool is lovely and the location is good. Close but not so close to the center of town. However the condo itself while clean is very shabby. The tile shows its age, the master tub is gross and looks dirty, and the carpet in the master seems new and also has stains. The condo feels clean just really showing some wear and tear that just make you not feel great about the monwy you are spending. Its not For the price, its not worth it.

The host was very welcoming. They checked in a number if times to see if we needed anything, gave great suggestions on places to eat, attractions, night life, etc. The place was very clean, comfortably, and had pretty much everything needed.When I had any questions, they responded rather quickly.

Key West Fun

The beds were very comfortable and the huge couch was the best. Property had everything we needed. Large pool and deck, with a beautiful view of the ocean. Close to beach and easy walk to restaurants. Duval street and local attractions easily accessible with golf cart rental.

Overall good experience

The worst part of the whole trip was checking in on the first night. The information packet we received had a lot of information in it but unfortunately the code for getting access to the building where our keys were kept didn't work as indicated in the packet. I happened to be there when others were coming out so they could let me in. Once I had my room keys, everything was smooth sailing for the rest of the trip. We did have the AC go out while we were there but our rep was VERY responsive and got our AC fixed the very next day. Whenever we had a question, our rep was very responsive and communicative. The unit was a bit dated but it worked for what we needed. I would definitely use AvantStay again but probably not that building. There were too many rules regarding the pool so we never used it.

The unit was clean and spacious. They do have an ant problem. I would never stay here again though. The check in-check out process is a nightmare! You have to go to the management office to get the keys. The management office is 1.5 miles from the unit. So that’s 2 Uber rides each time. I tried to contact the management to see if my sister who was arriving earlier could pick up keys and they said that they would get back to me and never did. We spoke with other renters down at the pool who didn’t have to pick up keys from another location. We are very unhappy about it! Now I know what questions to ask before I book another stay somewhere else

Decent place but a bit dated

Rooms were fine - odd layout and the wall of mirrors not only in the living room and bedroom could really be redone as its a bit creepy to constantly seeing a reflection practically everywhere. Master bathroom has a large square step down hot tub that didn't work and looked like it had been there for 20 years. An update to the rooms really is needed. However it was decent and reasonably located to Duval but a bit too much to walk (1.5 miles each way). No beach access - even had a sign that indicated sand had glass and debris in it so basically was off limits. Nice pool area but that's not what we were there for.

Very outdated

The unit is very old and needs updating. The rental was made for 6 people but the office could only provide 2 keys maximum. With everyone out exploring the town, it makes it difficult to go back when you want. Difficult to reach the rental office directly, they send you to an 800 number where there are not familiar with the property. This unit and the entire building is extremely dated

Very well stocked facility (best stocked kitchen ever!). Great amenities. Loved having the pool and small private beach but very accessible to Smathers and Higgs beach too. Easy to get to all the hot spots on Key West.

It was a wonderful week. Condo was very clean and suited us just fine. It could use some updating but did not hinder our stay at all. The location was perfect. We rented scooters to get around town with which worked out perfectly for us.

Great time at Papaya place

The condo was well appointed and true to the pictures. The property at 1800 Atlantic is older but very well maintained. The pool and hot tub are awesome and located on the ocean with a small private beach and the gardens are lovely. We loved the way the condo was furnished with very comfortable sofas and chairs. The kitchen and bathrooms are a little outdated but very functional and the master bedroom shower is funky. The beds are comfortable. The balcony looks out on the nature preserve and is very quiet. The property is a at least 2 miles from all the action and the busy areas of Duval street but we rented bikes for the week which is the perfect mode of transportation for this area. So if you plan to party on Duval this is not the place for you The free parking in the garage is a deal as parking anywhere in Key West is a problem. The rental agency At Home in Key west was very helpful with check in and following up with us. As always we had a wonderful time in Key West and have no complaints and will be back

Desperately needs updating and new furniture!

Complex was nice. Location was what we were looking for…. Away from craziness of downtown. Very quiet! Pool was great! Hallways smelled musty. Condo itself was poor. Very outdated and worst of all living room furniture was wicker, old and VERY uncomfortable! Kitchen items were also outdated. Overall Was definitely not worth the money spent!!

This rental was ok. Nothing super special, nothing too bad. I was given the wrong paperwork at check in which made things frustrating as we spent two hours trying to locate the unit/getting in touch with management for the correct instructions. But management did respond and correct it. The pool was wonderful, as were the grounds. Not really a walkable location, we did need to drive to everything we did-but the island is not huge so not a big deal. The house had everything we needed as far as the kitchen goes.

Great spot for a long weeekend!

This property was clean and set up as advertised on the website. The pool was conveniently located, and the complex was 5 to 10 min walk from Smathers Beach. It was near a biking / walking path to walk to dinner.
