Hotel Kirkby-in-Furness

« Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Sort walk to the local village for the train station , cafe and pub »

« Belle batiment »

« Parfait, rien à redire. Lieux superbes, du neuf dans un bâtiment historique. Continuez et échangez rien. Pub à 2 mn à pieds. »

« The Duke of Edinburgh hotel was a gem. I don’t know the history of the building but it’s older; that doesn't mean bad. They have done a great job of renovating the rooms, or at least ours was. It was one of the best rooms we’ve had on our trip. We also had dinner and a breakfast while there and the food at the restaurant/pub was excellent. It’s a short walk from the train station and I would recommend it for your stay. »

« Nice, Big Room! Beautiful Decorated House. Helpful and Friendly staff. »

« Victor and Johanna were so friendly and warm, we felt valued. The breakfasts were delicious! The hotel was clean, comfortable and we appreciated the easy parking. Being so close to restaurants and the town center made walking about so easy. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast. »

« Agréable séjour. Dommage que le ménage ne soit pas bien fait! Région magnifique, loin de la foule... »

« Stayed here a few times. Service didn’t feel as good as previously. Few things missing in the cabin (milk) kindling, logs. Managed to get some from staff but they weren’t replenished. Had a meal in the restaurant. Again not as nice as previously »

« Great bar food and evening spent here after a long day walking. Even had sky sports. Single Room was good for what I wanted and bathroom facilities Good. Only down was noisy floor on the corridor outside rooms on first floor which creaked with every person walking the floor. Early morning or late evening. Needs a bit of work. Saying that it was good value for money amd would use the place again as access to Wast Water and area »

« The staff were fantastic and despite being warned about building work we needn’t have worried. The food was good both for dinner and breakfast. The spa was especially nice. We were warned it would get busy by the very helpful member of staff but even when busy it was ok. We had a really lovely little break with great views of the lake. All in all worth every penny. Thank you for a wonderful time. »

« Very clean, modern and well maintained. Good central location. Would stay here again. Recommend ear plugs as the shift work traffic can be noisy. »

« Personnel accueillant, chambres spacieuses, propres avec un excellent confort. Pour le souper l'hôtel propose un cuisine Française de qualité mais style nouvelle cuisine donc gros appétits demander discrètement la carte BAR MENU mieux pourvue en quantité mais également D'UN SUPERBE NIVEAU. »

« We used the Hare & hounds as a stopover on our way home but will give serious consideration to returning to explore the Lakes from there »

« The hotel is beautiful from the outside and located in such a picturesque area but the room we got was a disappointment. Located on the first floor and tucked in a corner, it did not match the pictures on the site and looked rather old (except for the bathroom), with an uncomfortably slumping mattress. The view was on some sort of roof/installation that nearly blocked all light. I will add that other rooms, which I saw the next morning while housekeeping was cleaning, looked much better. I'm...

« Charmant petit hôtel de passage, les chambres sont assez confortables. Petit point à revoir sur la literie et la propreté de la salle de bain. Nous y avons dîné 2 fois et la nourriture était bonne. Bon rapport qualité / prix! »

« Très bien situé, propre, personnel avenant et bon déjeuner pour partir la journée. Je vous recommande Holy Lodge Guest House. »

« We had cabin 1 and it was great. Hot tub, wood, everything was lovely and well thought out. Everything you need was there »
