Lovely small cabin, clean, new kitchen, good quality utensils and pots and pans, comfy beds (not too hard). Lake views and walking distance to the beautiful Pumphouse restaurant, sunset is amazing there!

The cabin was absolutely perfect for our 8 night stay. A view of the lake was a real bonus, the swimming pool was nice and all the staff called out a friendly hello when we saw them. That is your best publicity! The only small thing that was negative, was the fact that the sliding door and the glass panels off the verandah were rather dirty when we arrived, The balcony timber had only recently been oiled and maybe that was why it was like that. I rang the office and the cleaners turned up next morning so that was great. They care about their visitors which means a lot to us.

Was a nice location to stay but I wouldn’t say this place is clean like some other reviews have suggested. It was tidy but when you actually start to spot lino lifting, scum marks and hair in the spa and something stuck on the side of the toilet bowl it makes you look harder into how clean the cabin actually is and it’s not to a standard that you’re paying for. Staff were lovely, gardens were beautiful and it is a very quiet place to stay. Pool kept clean and views of lake is great but cleanliness standards lacked a fair bit.

Loved the relaxed vibe especially with view to water and trees which encouraged local wildlife - great to watch the lizards scurrying around! Can’t think of anything that I didn’t like!

Great Stay
For a small cabin, it was fully packed with what you need. It had some basic kitchen items included, it had BBQ tools to use. The staff at reception were very helpful with suggestions of tours. It is a great location and great place to stay for all ages.

Fine for what it is!
A pretty location along bank of the Lake Kununurra but a longish walk to town which probably won’t matter to most travellers as they’ll have a car. Friendly and helpful staff who let us check in early. The cabin was ok, expensive at $203 per night, but that’s supply and demand at work.

A great position on the lake with great photo opportunities at sundown. The cabins were clean and had all the basics. there is hotel like accommodation slightly closer to town but it is not on the lake and that would take away the overall feel of Kununnurra.

Great location close to the airport and the town. The park was very well maintained and there was a huge variety of birds & wildlife right on our doorstep.

Average standard accommodation with very dated cabins. Reasonably clean with adequate but only basic amenities. Bedding in particular was sparse and frugal.

Fabulous location facing on to Lake Kununurra in the less murky area, which just made the location first class. Staff love the place and live on-site and run the business as though it is their own. Standards are kept very high and we can thoroughly recommend Discovery Park Lake Kununurra as a great destination to establish your base camp to explore the region. Plan a three night or more stopover, and you'll be glad you did.

Peaceful outlook
Our 7 day stay at Discovery Park Lake Kununurra was very pleasant & our chalet had a lovely outlook over lake, gardens & shady trees. As it was hot whilst there. my couple of points as constructive criticism is that it would have been nice to have clean bath towels once in the 7 days. As there was no chairs provided in the pool area I was put off going for a swim as I didn't wish to sit on the lawn in the sun without any towels. I think those staying in the Park with caravans would have been fine as they come self contained but we flew to Kununurra so was limited in what we brought with us so no beach towels.

Deluxe cabin is the way to go!
There were some issues with cleanliness however when I spoke with Anni the manager they had been having some issues getting staff with the Covid-19 situation. She happily changed us to a deluxe cabin with a water front view and was very apologetic. The park itself is very well kept and right on Lake Kununurra. It was so lovely to sit out on the deck of our cabin in the early morning and watch all the bird life. We had a very lovely stay. Thank you to Anni for being so open to listening when there was a problem.
