„Beautiful hotel in a new building at a good location. Room was spacious and well equipped, especially the bathroom. Decent view down to the ocean. Liked the jacuzzi and swimming pool on the roof. Staff was pleasant and professional, quite some selection for breakfast, although the egg dish I ordered had way too much fat, but other dishes were tasty. Also the drinks at the bar were very tasty.“

„Leider wurden die verbrauchten Kaffeekapseln nicht ersetzt, die Badartikel wie Seife und Shampoo wurden nicht erneut bereitgestellt. Der angefragte Heizlüfter wurde geliefert, es stellte sich jedoch heraus, dass er defekt war. Der zweite Lüfter funktionierte dann. Achtung: die Bettvorleger sind aus Teppich und rutschen auf dem Parkett. Leider war es nicht möglich von dem Telefon am Bett die Rezeption zu erreichen. Zu wenig (europäische) Steckdosen, dafür amerikanische! Ein passender Adapter ...

„The hotel is located directly on a street with relatively heavy traffic. Our room was on the fifth floor facing this street. However, we did not hear any street noise. The room was large and clean. The shower was pleasant. The breakfast buffet was extensive and had a good quality. Items were always replenished as needed. The hotel's short distance to the promenade was very good. It can be reached in five minutes. “

„A newly built hotel with modern design and good equipment in the spacious room, especially the bathroom is pretty. The window was quite small in our room, so it was rather dark. Also the window could not be opened at all. Staff very friendly. Gym could benefit from a weight lifting machine, just cardio and free weights available. Roof bar and pool nice although small. We couldn't charge our consumption to the room for some reason, looks like we would need a card that we didn't get. ...

Although this once tranquil fishing hamlet is now a popular destination on Peru's 'Gringo Trail', it has clung proudly to its fishing roots. These narrow boats, made from the same reeds used by the Uros in the Lake Titicaca region, are still in use today.

They're known as 'Caballitos de Tortora', meaning "little horses" because of the way they are 'ridden' by the fishermen who use them.

If you wake up early enough (and I mean early; these fishermen are already casting their bait before the sun rises) you can witness an age old tradition in practice.

"Zimmer und Bad sehr sauber. Personal freundlich, aber sehr zurückhaltend. Ruhige und sichere Gegend . Herr Mauricio und Herr Raul an der Rezeption waren sehr freundlich. Die Managerin Frau Carol Soto war sehr entgegenkommen und höflich zu uns. Das Frühstück war nicht abwechslungsreich. Das Restaurant im Hotel ist gut!"
