Location was great being tucked behind Sugar Hollow Marina in the no wake zone. Launched boat at the marina easily and convenient for gas. Jumping bridge right around the corner which the kids did every day. New inflatable bounce water course also right there and enjoyed it one day. No neighbors anywhere nearby, super cozy cabin. We filled the home but with 3 full bathrooms, worked well. Hot Tub was great, fire pit is super cool and tucked into the woods. Ice machine in the lower level was a very pleasant surprise. Grill was the nicest I have had in a rental and had all the supplies. Included towels for the lake, all the soap, shampoo, and much more than I have ever had at a VRBO before. We had a pontoon and a jetski and even with owner's boat in the main slip, plenty of space and no wake zone so never had a concern with it beating off the dock. Well maintained steps down to the dock, 50-60 steps so not bad. Extremely steep driveway and no chance of getting a trailer down there and back out, but I walked down before trying thankfully. I would certainly recommend and if anything, the home is under sold with the photos and write up. Photos of the family building it in the home and you can tell (in a good way) that it was built by them. Only suggestion would be look to upgrade the lower level bed mattresses. Upstairs and loft were good. Great trip and thanks for the memories.

Wonderful Lake House

Hot tub is awesome, definitely should add pictures. Amazing porch space. Property manager very responsive.The nearby towns Lafollette/Jacksboro are super underrated. Two great coffee shops. Great state Park, and trailhead to an 8 mile mountain hike.

Very Relaxing & Clean

This cabin was very clean and the location was calm and relaxing. We absolutely loved our stay! We had a small issue but the management team was very quick to respond and took care of everything. Overall I would absolutely stay here again! Thank you for an amazing vacation experience.

Great location!! We have stayed here several times due to being back in a quiet cove and in walking distance from the dock. We were a little disappointed that the slide on the dock was no longer there but it is still in the VRBO pictures. The hot tub was cold when we arrived but I contacted the manager and she replied right away and told us how to fix it. It warmed up very fast! They added a nice little fire pit area and my kids really enjoyed hanging out there at night.

Great house and location! The beds weren't very comfortable, and the spiral staircase took some focus, so be careful if you have little ones or elderly in your party. Other than that, everything worked well and was as shown on listing.

Broken A/C, leak, mold

I saw previous reviews about the broken A/C, so I emailed a few days before the trip and ask them to make sure it was fixed. They said they take care of the problem. When we arrived we find out 2 broken A/C and one working but leaking. Mold, bad smell, and hot. BTW beautiful area and lake. We tried to spend more time outside to avoid staying inside the house.

Absolutely terrible customer service

We drive 7 hours to get to our vacation home. 20 minutes before we arrived we got a call saying that the AC was not functioning and the hot tub is broken. After days of trying to figuring out when the AC is going to be fixed we finally decided to leave early. It was way too hot in the house. The hot tub repairman “fixed” the hot tub but we were too scared to get in. It looked very broken down and unsafe. I want a total refund because of a terrible experience.

Home was very clean, great location and dock was good for boat and PWC’s. Air conditioning did not work properly on main level of house making it a rough stay, and trash left piled up on ground by the full trash cans was a mess with animals getting into it every night.

We enjoyed this property on the river. We fished, swam, rented a boat, and spent family time together. Hot tub was not available but otherwise everything else was fine.

Lovely Cabin/Poorly Managed

Let me start by saying the house itself is super charming, beautiful views and fantastic lot/location, the owners of the house should be proud. That being said, the management of the rental was terrible. My first filter in the rental process was a hot tub. We arrived after a 6 hour drive to a hot tub that was inoperable and looked like it had been for weeks. This was not made known to us prior to arrival. We were offered a $50 a night refund, which we haven't seen yet. We also pulled up to 6 overflowing uncovered trash bins, totally disgusting. It must have been windy because trash had blown all over the hill leading down to the lake. We made the management aware of both these issues. They promised someone would be out to remove the trash and fix the hot tub. The first morning of our stay, my teenage sons spent 2.5 hours cleaning the entire back yard of trash that had blown out of the uncovered and overflowing bins. Finally a local manager, who was actually over an hour away called and told us the hot tub could not be repaired without a part that was on back order and there was no chance for us to enjoy the hot tub. He did say he would send someone to remove the trash. I submitted pictures of the overflowing trash to the management company and they said someone would be there soon to remove it. The stench of the trash was so bad, we couldn't enjoy the deck overlooking the lake. I finally paid a local with a truck to come remove and dispose of the trash.(that was day 3). We were aware there is no cell coverage at this location, but the rental did advertise wifi. The wifi was sketchy at best or metered to a certain bandwidth. The wifi usually worked when we woke up, but was toast by 10am. It is either metered bandwidth or the 2006 router couldn't handle 4 cell phones online at once. The management company communicated by text and e mail, I don't believe I spoke with the same person twice and the response always seemed computer generated. I spoke with a local member of the team who was nice, but never had the intention of assisting on site as he was located a significant distance away. I was thankful he was very upfront about the hot tub not getting repaired during our stay , so I didn't continue to hold out hope. The fire pit was a highlight, very cool location. We made the best of it , rented a very nice pontoon boat from Oasis Watersports located a few hundred yard away. We caught lots of fish in the cove. Charming cozy

Great overall experience. Some trash around the woods from previous occupants but other than that very clean always a great experience at the lake. Extremely close to Sugar Hollow and Shanghai Marinas.

Amazing rental!

This rental was amazing! We have stayed many places in TN around Lake Norris, and this was by far our favorite for a multiple family stay! It’s very cute and accommodating, the only down fall is the hardness of the beds, they were very rough to sleep on and if you are staying for any amount of time there is no closets to hang up clothes in. The beds were a struggle but everything else was absolutely perfect and we will stay many more times!
