The stay was great, but there seemed to be an ant problem in the kitchen and there was a stair on the stairway to the lake with an x taped on it. It was completely loose . We had to be very careful to avoid it. It would have been quite a fall. Otherwise lots of fun. Liked the layout of the house and we had beautiful weather!

Family/friend trip for a few days on the lake. The place was perfect. Rented a boat from Whitman’s Hollow marina which is 5-10 minute boat ride away and a good place to gas up. Jet ski’s were a blast and close to some great places on the lake (jump rock and swing ropes).

Space more than adequate for large groups, and the private dock was a big convenience. However, there are some shortcomings with the property that are worth knowing prior to booking:- the majority of the beds are in the lofted area, which has 2 dedicated wall AC units. However, one of them is broken, which means this area can get very warm. When I messaged the owner, his response was that the broken AC unti has been out since he's owned the property and that the box fans provided give enough air flow. It was in the low 90's when we stayed, and the loft area was consistently warm during our stay. - listing states the property has DishTV cable, but we were unable to locate any of the TV remotes. When we figured out how to turn on the TV in the living room, we found out there was no cable. When I messaged the owner asking him about the cable and missing remotes, his response was the cable had been disconneted but we could stream our on shows because they were all smart TVs. However, this required the remotes, so the TVs weren't usable.- fooseball table was missing the ball, which was replaced by a ping pong ball- coffee maker was broken and would spill over when using the pot. It appeared the issue had happened before; there were water stains going down the cabinet where it sits- multiple spots with mold/mildew, including the upstairs shower curtain and the washing machine- trash can lid in the kitchen was broken- fire extinguisher in kitchen was empty

A/C was poor

We stayed over July 4th weekend and the water was perfect. The upstairs A/C didn't work at all. The owner left numerous fans, but with 18 people in the house, it was too hot to sleep. Some ended up staying in hotels and most left a day or 2 early which was NOT ideal. Kitchen had 2 refrigerators which was really nice with our big group. Being able to rent the waverunners was also nice.

The property is nice, great space on the lake. However the upstairs had no AC which slept about 10 of our group in one big room. They were sleeping in 80 degree weather which was definitely not ideal. Also make sure to take pictures after you leave the VRBO!

My wife & I enjoyed our weekend getaway to LaFollette TN and Lake Norris. The house main floor, and view from the house is beautiful. So I'll mention a couple things that might help others decide. The driveway is steep, but it is paved, and OK with some careful driving. I would take a motorcycle down it, but not with leaves or acorns on the drive. My lowered Camaro scrapped the front spoiler on the second switchback, but not any worse than some parking lots entrances. Cell phone and WiFi service is spotty at the house, and in the Lake Norris area. My wife's phone worked better than mine, after playing with her phone settings. The only thing we could get to work on the TV is pay per view movies, so we didn't use it, but we weren't sure if it was us or if there is no cable / satellite TV at this house. That might be an issue if you must have TV. The house instructions says that the hot tube warms up ten degrees per hour, but from our experience it is about ten degrees every two to three hours. If you arrive at 8:00 PM, the hot tube will not be warmed up before you go to bed. The vertical blinds in the large downstairs bedroom needs replaced because it is missing too many slats. It will be an issue if there you are with a group of people. There are some areas that could be cleaner, but it wasn't horrible. With some better maintenance and cleaning, it would be a spectacular rental. As is, it was nice, but we'll try another place next time.

Great Lake getaway

This house was perfect for us. Plenty of beds, hot tub, fire pit, and dock for the boat we rented. Jason (owner) was extremely responsive to any questions/issues we had. The house rules were outdated with pricing for the waverunners, but Jason cleared that up with me over the phone. Would absolutely rent this place again!

Memories Made

Our group of 14 (moms and daughters) had plenty of space at this Lakefront Home.. The house was clean when we got there and communication was always immediate. We loved having 2 fridges ( one ice maker didn't work) There are plenty of pots, pans and utensils. One pan was very dirty and crusty and the oven had stuff stuck to the bottom so it smoked when we used it. We turned the oven to self clean mode which helped. There is plenty of space by the house to park which was nice to load/unload (driveway is the usual, steep Norris type. Just use low gear) and the walk down to the dock was not as bad as our friend’s house. The pictures do not show a dock to hang out on, but they must have added it, and we were so happy to see it! We were at the dock and swam for hours everyday. . We loved having use of the kayaks and also rented the jet skis, Just make sure you tell Jason ahead of time, and he will have them ready to use. The hot tub was nice to have too. The shower pressure was wonderful, which all of us ladies appreciated! Some of the sinks drained really slow. There are plenty of bath towels, but bring your own beach towels if you swim at the dock or go out on a boat. We also brought our own board games and cards. We loved the easy check out process , which helped get us out at 9am. We enjoyed our stay at Jason’s and made wonderful memories with our daughters before they head back to college.

Great spot for groups on the lake!

Our group of 9 had plenty of space to gather together (as well as retreat for some quiet time when needed). The view from both decks is fantastic. The stairs down to the dock are in great shape and on a great stretch of the lake. Lots of boats and jet skis, but the lake there is wide enough that we felt comfortable swimming even when boats were going by. Lake is deep right off the dock (perfect for jumping in again and again) and there are life jackets for floating (and plenty of towels, too). Having access to laundry was super helpful. Was great to have gas grill, as well. Host was very responsive. We had a minor issue with the dishwasher, but host took care of it right away (had someone out to check on it within 2 hours of messaging) and was very diligent to make sure problem was taken care of (ended up needing a new dishwasher, which works super well! :-) ). We were very impressed and grateful for this diligence, as other hosts may have just done a temporary “fix” until they wanted to replace an appliance. (Special shoutout to the really sweet plumber who made sure everything was handled and we were taken care of! :-) As others have mentioned, driveway is steep (looks scarier than it is); we’d recommend an SUV if possible. Overall, a really great space—we may be back next year!

Beautiful home

This house is perfect for large families! I’ve never seen so many beds in one house. Like someone else mentioned the driveway is a little Intimidating! It’s straight up and down! Also if you’re traveling with elderly folks they probably won’t be able to get down to the lake. My dad’s knees couldn’t do it .. but he loved the view just the same. Overall we had a great time and was pleasantly surprised to be able to door dash from the local grocery. Took less than 30 mins! Lastly you’re sitting on the prettiest lake in TN. Do rent the jet ski. They weren’t ready to go when we were there so that was a smidgen disappointing. But if they are I would recommend taking them out for sure.

Nice getaway

We had a nice time at this VRBO. The driveway isn’t great for pulling trailers in, but there are nearby marinas you can keep those! Very clean. Bring extra toilet paper and trash bags for large groups.

Great House!

We had a wonderful time at this house. There were 20 of us and there was enough room for everyone to have a bed and room to spread out throughout the house. It had a nice fire pit, and dock as well, although we couldn't use the jet ski docks or the lift for our boat. The driveway is VERY steep and has 2, 90 degree turns, use caution! Wish there would have been a little more warning about the driveway and the dock, otherwise it was a great place!
