Great Villa in a lovely location

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful villa. All was a described in the details and the host was extremely responsive, welcoming and even took us shopping a couple of times. Couldn’t fault anything and would definitely highly recommend this villa. Thanks so much

Awsome Stay

Stayed for 8 days, is this fantastic vila. Everything we wanted and Paul couldnt have done enough for us. Would highly recommend to families or 2 sharing, ample of room with local bars, restaurants and a spar close by. Look forward to returning in the future

Great location and home

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Coruja in mid April 2025. Two families traveling together with 4 teenagers, and we felt we had plenty of room to spread out. The larger bedrooms for the adults were at opposite ends of the home for a bit more privacy. There was enough room so we could spread out and not be falling over each other. Wi-fi was good. The kitchen is a bit small by our standards, so you probably dont want to plan on cooking large meals, but was fine for putting together breakfast or a lunch snack. Bathrooms were large and clean- be sure to bring your own soap! Pool is always everyone's highlight- but even with it heated, it was too cold for us most of the time. However, the outdoor spaces were a highlight for us. We grilled and enjoyed our drinks on the patio on multiple beautiful nights. There is a high wall around the house, giving it a sense of privacy and grandeur. The walking path around the home is well landscaped. We enjoyed the home's location set away from the bustle of downtown, but close enough to reach most spots in 15-20 minute walk. There is a shortcut between homes that cuts off time from what Google maps predicts. There are 3 restaurants, a small market, and a coffee shop within a 5 minute walk. It is only 4-5 euros to get downtown. The best part of the home was the host- Paul. He was super friendly and accommodating. Made restaurant reservations for us, drove us in for groceries twice, answered all questions, and always had a smile.

Great week!

We had a wonderful week at this villa with friends. Beautiful outdoor space for relaxing and eating. Spacious interior with all amenities. Paul is very helpful with restaurant recommendations and shopping. He checks in regularly to make sure we have everything we needed. Great spot for family and friends!

Great family holiday

Brilliant family holiday at a beautiful villa

Just got back from our stay at this wonderful villa, located a 5 minute drive away from Carvoeiro beach and town, and within walking distance of the Vale Centeanes beach. Ubers are also easy to book and quickly available. The villa had everything we needed, and Paul was always on hand to help us with anything we needed - very grateful for running us to and back from the local supermarket and for the restaurant recommendations. He went above and beyond to make our stay as easy and relaxing as possible. We can’t recommend this villa enough and will definitely be going back!

Lovely property, lovely host

The property is perfectly suited for a week plus stay (we stayed for 10 days). It is located in a very quiet cul de sac, with ample parking. It has a good sized pool, good sized in-built bbq, and a lovely dining area. The pool area is kitted out with plenty of loungers and shade. It's a 15 minute walk to the closest beach (Vale Centeanes) and thanks to Uber, the town centre is just a 5 minute drive away (10 minutes if you count the wait time), which means you can go out and enjoy the many restaurants in the area. I would highly recommend this property, and the host (Paul) lives nearby (practical should you need anything) and is very knowledgeable about Carvoeiro and the surrounding areas. There are two very good supermarkets just over 5 minutes drive away (Intermarche and Apolonia) and the best waterpark in Europe (Slide and Splash Lagoa) is a 10 to 15 minute drive away (Highly recommended if you have kids with you). The Carvoiero Boat Tours, which you book from Carvoeiro Beach, are a fantastic way to spend the morning. All in all, I would highly recommend the property and the area. (We've already been a few times!!!)

Algarve heaven

Where to begin? The house is exceptional. Plenty of space for our two families to spread. Beds and other furniture are very comfortable. Kitchen has all that you need and a nice spot to do laundry. The outdoor space cannot be beat. Beautiful pool with multiple sitting areas and barbecue. Our host, Paul, was an absolute pleasure. He made sure we had everything we needed and secured wonderful restaurant reservations for us. Highly recommend and hope to return very soon!

April 2024 stay at Casa Coruja

Casa Corina was an excellent property for our holiday in the Algarve. We did not have a car but it did not matter as the house was located in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood within walking distance to restaurants, beaches, the coastal trail as well as the town of Carvoeiro. Also plenty of Ubers in the area to visit the other nearby towns. The house itself was perfect for our group of 6, well equipped with dishes etc and loads of space both indoors and outdoors to enjoy. The listing was accurate except it said two bedooms had king sized beds. This might be by European standards but they were at most Queen sized by North American standards. Otherwise the bedrooms/ensuites were as pictured. Also listing mentioned a whirlpool spa so our group thought this meant a hot tub but there wasn’t one. The weather was a bit cool for April and even with the pool heated it was not warm enough for most of our group. Regardless we enjoyed the great deck spaces around the house. The host was very helpful on arrival and in getting us set up with a grocery run! A misunderstanding about the lock box at the end of our stay ended our otherwise fantastic stay on a bit of a bad note, but the owner fortunately took care of the issue. Overall this is a high end property, in a perfect location to explore the beautiful Algarve!! Our group would definitely stay at this property again!!

Perfect Algarve Getaway

What a perfect holiday! Paul and Isobel, the hosts, were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. They were always ready with advice and restaurant recommendations (try La Palmeria for delicious Portuguese food). The villa was absolutely fabulous with a great pool and plenty of amenities. The bedrooms were perfect for our family, as we went with our parents and two children. There are two king size rooms with en-suite bathrooms and next to one of those are two twin rooms which share a bathroom. It was extremely spacious and spotlessly clean. Location wise, we didn't have a car and used Uber for the ten minute drive into Carvoeiro. There was a small shop with a restaurant next to it about a 10 minute walk away from the villa. Also nearby was the Lighthouse which is a pool bar in the day (our kids loved the shallow pool) and at night a gorgeous restaurant with stunning views out to sea. This is a 5 minute stroll from the villa. There is also a shortcut down to a small beach. We did not have a car and found we didn't need one. You can get shopping delivered from Apolonia by ordering online (think the Waitrose of Portugal) or jump into a taxi to the nearby Aldi or Intermarche. We can't wait to come back. It was the most relaxing holiday we've ever had.

Lovely relaxing getaway

We had been looking forward to some downtime as a family for a while and this was perfect. Paul and Isabel’s place is perfect for some peace and quiet but not too far from something more lively if that’s what you want. Would highly recommend.

A stunning Villa

We stayed in Casa Coruja mid to late February this year(2023). What a stunning, luxurious, and fit for purpose property. Paul and his wife Isabel were on hand to give us a warm welcome. Both were readily available right from the start of our holiday to offer advice and guidance as to not only how things worked in the villa but also nearby restaurants and tourist highlights. The weather being kind we were able to enjoy the Pool and its facilities. I would recommend paying for the Pool heating if your visiting slightly out of season . An extra weather bonus was we were able to avail ourselves of the fully equipped BBQ having dinner. Enjoyable as it was, I am sure it would be even more enjoyable in the spring and summer months. Comfort and facilities inside were just as good. The fully equipped kitchen and utensils would easily cater for the eight settings at the table. The spacious living area allowed for relaxation with the TV fully loaded with apps such as Netflix etc. The house layout meant that the bedrooms areas were completely separate allowing for privacy and quietness. Simply ideal if I had been there with my parents. Been doing this for some years now. Simply put, this is the best villa that I have ever stayed in and recommend when you maybe have your VRBO board set up take a closer look at this one. It really is as good as the pictures and description say it is. Hope to see you in the future Paul/Isabel
