  • This beautifully updated two-bedroom oceanfront home in Puamana remains a peaceful and inviting retreat, even in the wake of Lahaina’s devastating fires. While much of the surrounding community was impacted, this home stands strong—professionally cleaned from top to bottom, including the attic, to ensure a safe and comfortable stay.

    Recent upgrades include brand-new flooring throughout, fresh interior paint, and stylish new window coverings, all thoughtfully chosen to enhance the home’s relaxed island vibe. A newly installed air conditioning system keeps things cool and comfortable.

    The spacious single-level layout offers uninterrupted ocean views and plenty of natural light. The primary bedroom features a king-size bed, an ocean-facing desk for remote work or journaling, and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom with a queen bed is equally cozy and well-appointed. The fully stocked kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals at home, and the lanai is ideal for al fresco dining or enjoying your morning coffee to the sound of the waves.

    Unfortunately, the historic clubhouse and some amenities were lost to the fire. Despite this, Puamana still offers a truly unique island experience and the perfect place to unwind and relax. A complete renovation of the spectacular Ocean Pool was completed in October 2025, offering guests a one-of-a-kind setting right at the water’s edge with breathtaking views of the Pacific. The Dolphin Pool is also open and available for use.

    As Lahaina begins its journey of renewal, this home provides a rare opportunity to enjoy West Maui’s stunning coastline while honoring the resilience of the community. Come relax, recharge, and reconnect in a truly special place.

Paradise at your door step!

The community was picture perfect! And you are surrounded by lush grounds and spectacular ocean views. Dining on the lanai and watching the sunset were the highlights of our vacation. We would highly recommend this unit and look forward to returning soon!

We were blown away on how beautiful this property was. The pictures don't do this property justice. We enjoyed our stay overall. This place had everything we needed, I mean everything. We shopped at the local market and it just felt like home. I cant wait to come again, this is perfect for a family.

Right at the water edge, close to the beach access point. Very large and clean, with high end furniture and equipment. Everything you need, including AC in every room and powerful WiFi. Only problem: we had to leave!

Huge fan of Puamana!!

We really loved our stay here. If you like to surf, this is the spot!! The unit was dated but in good condition. Only one gripe about the unit was the portable A/C units, which are rather loud all through the night but acceptable since that was disclosed in the listing. The location makes any negatives with the unit worth the stay here.

Maui Vacation

We have stayed at at another unit in Puamana and wanted to come back. This unit is in a perfect location! Loved the windows and view of the ocean. Steps away from the beach. Short walk in to town. AC units weren’t all functional, but we made it work with the window units even though they were a little loud. Would 100% come back to this unit.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I stayed at Unit 128-1 for almost a month and it was by far my favorite unit in all of Puamana. Although it was not recently updated, it truly didn't need it - the unit had a great low-key vibe consistent with Puamana, was extremely clean, and comfortable (great beds!). The location cannot be beat - huge lawn, beach access, and no highway noise. And APVR did a great job hosting the property - incredibly friendly and responsive. I hope to be back!

The location and the condo itself were very enjoyable. Amazing views, lots of interior space, good amenities, nice neighbors....and did I say amazing views? There were some issues that we encountered such as only one small pool was open, the BBQ only had enough propane for 2 meals, and a few other more minor issues. The bathrooms were very hot, so we purchased 2 standing fans for them and left them in the closet for the next guests. The clothes washer soap was too old and didn't dissolve in the washer and stained some of our clothes. The air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TVs, and kitchen appliances all worked well. The condo smelled fresh and clean, except for the master bed which had a faint odd smell at the left head of the bed. We really enjoyed our stay and already miss seeing the ocean a few yards from the lanai. We would definitely stay again, even despite the tsunami evacuation which turned into a great time meeting locals and watching the sunset and evening stars. We really feel that Puamana is somewhat of a secret place to stay and we will return again. We also pray for the locals who lost their homes and family members and we hope that they all find peace and recovery soon.

Almost perfect

The property is fantastic! The house is very clean! The amenities are awesome! The ONLY drawback was that the AC did not work. Note, portables were installed throughout the house. However, due to my allergies I got very sick. It would have been perfect had I not gotten sick from the air of the portables. We would stay there again, only if the AC works!

Relaxing vacation at a beautiful place

The view was amzing on both sides, the ocean on one side and the mountains at the back. The beach access is right in front of the property. We would step out and explore other places in the mornings and spend the evenings just relaxing on the porch or at the beach here. The house was clean, had portable air conditioning units in each room, bathrooms and kitchen was fully equipped with essential things. The hosts were very approachable and responsive. They sent us the information ahead of time and reached out during our stay to check if we needed anything. We also used the swimming pool behind the property, kids enjoyed it there, having a shallow kid-friendly end was helpful. Lahaina downtown is a 5 minute drive from here, so we had easy access to food and activities. Also, we had a clear view of the july 4th fireworks right by the road-side end of the property, it was beautiful. Living earth systems farm stand was just a few minutes away, they had delicious mangoes and papaya, star fruits and cane juice. We would love to be back here and would also strongly recommend it to others.

Don’t pass by this “Hidden Hideaway Rental Property

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this rental property was underrated in our opinion after staying here. The back patio is steps away from the Pacific access! We learned that locals find the waves there to be some of the best around Lahaina and we enjoyed watching the surfers during all hours of each day. The beach area, while sandy and walkable, also had a lot of rock formations as you attempt to enter the water which made swimming there undesirable for safety reasons. However, we found the community’s main pool by the clubhouse to be a clean and peaceful area which met our relaxation and swimming needs well. I would definitely recommend that additional lounge chairs be placed around this pool area. If you were not one of the 1st 6-8 pool guests, your seating was a patio table chair- not very conducive for ideal poolside R&R. The home was adequately clean and very well stocked with all of the bathroom and kitchen amenities one might hope for (other than no wine bottle opener!) I might suggest adding outdoor towel hooks on the lanai where guests can hang their wet beach and pool towels. The town of Lahaina is about 2.5. miles down Front St. so very convenient to restaurants and bars- many with live musical entertainment, specialty shops. There is also convenient access to multiple excursions such as scuba, snorkeling, parasailing, submarine tours, fishing boats, Luaus and more! The Banyan trees are a must to see, too. We discovered beautiful sandy swimming beaches to the south and took a day to drive the Road to Hana with its beautiful scenery, multiple waterfalls and all it has to offer. In all, we would definitely recommend this rental! Located in a private, gated community it is a hidden gem!
