The home was clean and overall well maintained, which I appreciated. However, there were a couple of issues that affected our comfort. The thermostat was locked, so I couldn’t adjust the heater when needed. Additionally, the upstairs bathroom did not have working cold water. If these issues were addressed, the stay would have been much better.

The heat worked, the bedrooms and kitchen were well appointed, the house was clean, the location was quiet and had a nice view of the lake. The house was larger than we needed, it could have slept 6 adults and a few kids. It was fully decorated for Christmas, no need to bring a thing! There was a problem checking in, but it was resolved quickly and partly our fault. Our dog loved finding a comfy bed ready for her. Perfect for families or groups.

A very nicely appointed place! Super cute. Very clean! Nice touches like Keurig coffee pods, nice furniture, bedding, towels, etc. Remodeled kitchen. Game room with a Pac-Man arcade! Do realize it is a mountain side house so every thing is on a different floor and the “backyard” is steep! My only complaint was the lighting in the whole house was very low! My group was all seniors, so the lighting (and all the stairs!) was challenging!

Great stay

Our stay was wonderful. The home is nicely appointed and had everything we needed and more. We got a kick out of the ceiling light/fan that opened up when the fan started. All the furniture is very comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. The hammock on the porch was great n the evening to watch the stars. Home was very clean. Lots of towels and comfortable beds. We only used the air conditioning once and it was very comfortable. The weather could not have been more perfect. There is a dog park about a mile away at McCay park which worked out perfectly for our dogs. We would stay here again! One thing....be careful to not hit your head on the spiral staircase. It hurts like the dickens. We wrapped towels around a couple of stairs so it wouldn't happen again.

Beautiful quiet cabin tucked near in Lake Arrowhead

I stayed with my boyfriend over two weekends. We planned for a larger group originally, and the property would have been great for that! There is a lot of room. Maybe a bit too big for just two people. It was really clean and quiet, and just a 10 minute drive from all the shopsm. Would definitely stay again!

Very comfortable, great location

We came to Lake Arrowhead to visit with family and the house was perfectly located for our needs. It was so nice to have a driveway to park in as mountain parking can get tricky. We asked the hosts if we could bring our two cats and they allowed it. We have two kids (12 and 8) and two cats and all were comfortable in the house. We’ve stayed in a lot of rentals and we would come back to this house again. The kids loved the basement game room and there was plenty of room for us to invite our extended family for dinner on the main floor. We brought our cat bed, but it was nice to see that they had a large pet bed there already. The main thing to be aware about this house is the princess stair case. It has some very sharp edges and the tall people in our family did hit their heads on the steps despite there being reflectors on it. We wound up just tying a towel to that step to provide a warning and some cushion just in case! The house was clean upon arrival. It was nice to have a full length mirror in the primary bedroom, I feel like that is missing in a lot of rentals, as well as a vanity countertop mirror in the bathroom. I would have appreciated a physical check out list instead of just an emailed one through the app, but that’s a tiny detail. With or without pets this is a great place for families.

Weekend Getaway

The house couldn't have been more perfect. We enjoyed every aspect of it... taking in the beautiful views, reading under the trees, playing in the the fun game room, and relaxing on the large couch. The kitchen was wonderfully supplied, and each bedroom was arranged perfectly to be a home away from home. We will definitely stay again.

Wonderful Stay at the Emerald Manor

This place is spotless and decor is charming and cute. The cool spiral staircase leads to a loft with a gorgeous view of the lake. Kitchen was well stocked including a keurig machine and coffee pods. Plenty of space for a family to spread out since there's a downstairs game room for the kids. There are lots of convenient touches that make it so easy to relax and take life slow. I appreciated the labeled light switches, automatic lights on the stairway, and power strips in the bedroom so I don't have to choose between which electronic gadget to charge. Usually I have to alternate charging my phone, watch, ipad, and hearing aids or find random outlets around the house and behind furniture. Wifi is quick and fast enough for me to watch several episodes of Game of Thrones on my ipad. My parents spent hours watching the golf channel. We went for a nice hike around Lake Gregory and then to lunch at the Twin Peaks farmer's market which is on Thursday afternoons. One of the vendors has the best chips, guacamole, and shrimp ceviche. It went well with my meal of ribs, beans, and potato salad. We loved our mini vacation in Arrowhead and can't wait to return.

A Fun Fun Getaway!!

What a lovely house! Ample parking. Two fireplaces. Well stocked game room with Pac Man and more. We had not laughed so hard playing air hockey, ping pong and food ball! Modern well appointed kitchen. I would recommend it to anyone look for a comfortable charming place to stay in Lake Arrowhead. The view from the loft is an incredible view of Lake Arrowhead. This house is perfect for a family. Thank you for hosting us!!!
