« It’s not easy driving up the windy mountain road to Betty and Howard’s place. Yet once you arrive, it’s absolutely worth it. The setting is beautiful. The neighborhood is terrific for walking. Most mornings at least a couple people from our group were outside early to watch the sun rise over the mountains.And Howard and Betty are the best! They welcomed us in person when we arrived, showed us around the home, which is exactly what you'd imagine a home in the Blue Ridge Mountains to look like....

« Our family stayed here for our annual vacation. We are visiting all 50 states and this was a great place to stay for North Carolina as we got to see some of the great local sites like chimney rock. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed for the week. The kids loved the pool and lake. We had an amazing afternoon renting a pontoon boat. One thing about this property is that it's managed by the resort so we didn't get the personal touches that we often find with VRBO...

« The property was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The only recommendation that I have is that it needs more cleaning products. For example, there was no soap for the bathroom sinks, only 1 packet for dishwasher detergent (hardly sufficient for a 3-night stay), and a very small bottle of dish detergent. »

« Had a wonderful stay at Troy’s beautiful property. The cabin was so clean and easy to find on arrival, and its woodland surroundings made it feel remote even though you are walking distance to town. We would love to stay again, and highly recommend the tiny home to our friends and family! »

« The property is gorgeous. The views are phenomenal. The place was nice and clean but needs a little maintenance. Several lights were out but there was plenty of lighting so many that some were hard to figure out what switch went to which light. One of the rooms did not have an tv. Overall I would definitely recommend the stay. The resort staff were extremely helpful, professional, and pleasant. The resort has plenty to keep you busy and would love to have been able to stay longer. »

« This house had everything we needed. The kids loved the hot tub and there was plenty of roomFor all of us to sleep comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked and we used the grill outside to cookSteaks. The house needs a little love, but all in all a great place to spend family time. Short distance to Hendersonville for good food. We went tubing in Mars Hill. (Snow tubing). Great response from host when we encountered a small issue. Recommend! »

« We love Rumbling Bald Resort. There is a ton to do there with kids (indoor/outdoor pool, miniature golf, beach). The unit was nice and the description/photos were accurate. The location was easy to get to inside the resort. We did not get starter samples of soap, shampoo, dishwasher tabs, etc even though the description said we would. When I called security to ask for some (the number we were given to call) no one would ever answer the phone (despite multiple attempts). Only other real complaint...
