We believe that it's important to maintain respectful language in reviews. Calling the owner a "grifter" is not a constructive way to express your concerns.As you know, reservations in all hotels are secured with credit cards that are charged according to the chosen cancellation policy. We informed you through Expedia that your credit card was declined which allowed you to update it but you didn't, instead you sent a message asking to cancel your reservation , we cancelled it for free. The rooms became available again on all the booking channels at a new rate. In all the hotels, rates change with the availability, dates of booking and dates of stays. Rates are based on a software not on the owners or the employees assessment.You called us asking for the availability and rates for a new last minute reservation and you decided to book at a new room rate (12 euro increase). you had the flexibility to choose another hotel with better price especially that your cancelled reservation was not paid.After your call, we took the risk and hold the room for you without any pre-payment, as you wanted to pay at the reception due to the issue with your credit card (which we normally don’t accept ) and now instead of thanking us for all the exeptions we made for you, you are insulting us. we are really so surprised by the ingratitude showed in your review.We hope that you reconsider your review, using at least with more appropriate words.
