Our stay at Kingfisher Lake House was exactly as we imagined it would be. The hot tub was lovely. The kitchen was big, clean, conveniently arranged and outfitted. The bed in the master bedroom was large and comfortable. Because of the season, the stay was very private as no one appeared to be at the neighbouring cottages. This would not be the case in peak season as cottages are very close to one another as the pictures show. The sunroom is bright and cozy and the gas fireplace is very effective. The tv is set up with all the streaming services. We had one small glitch in the tv and the property manager was on top of it within forty minutes and solved the issue. All bedrooms are cozy. The stairs to the second floor are well lit but steep for little ones so take care if staying with small children. But the bathrooms are plentiful for three bedrooms. There was lots of room for six people to be comfortable and spread out. The ONLY reason I did not give this property five stars is that there is no real view of the lake from any sitting position other than the dining room table. The view from the hot tub is EXCELLENT. And the deck is wonderful. But the concrete break wall prevents a view from anywhere inside the cottage. This is not a problem in good weather…you’re outside! But the average person cannot sit in the living room and see the lake. The true assets of this cottage are: a wonderful hot tub and lake view from outside, a big kitchen for cooking good food with your favourite people (bbq also great), and the very comfortable bed. It is conveniently located, clean and updated, cozy and relaxing. We had a wonderful time and the property manager took good care of us.
