„I booked two nights for myself and my 12 yr old daughter. I was looking for somewhere with a bit of character, that was away from all the noise and bustle, had a good breakfast to set us up for the day and food available in the evening. I was not disappointed. The Weary Friar was such a great little find, a proper country pub with great food (nothing too fancy), friendly staff and peace and quiet to wake up to. Will definitely head there again!“

Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, war das beste Hotel in unserer England-Reise. Wonderful historic hotel with excellent food, amazing rooms; by far the nicest place to stay during our South England trip. „Bed was very comfortable and room was lovely. Gorgeous view. Food was good too and I appreciated the breakfast hamper although some might prefer a hot breakfast. Only minor annoyance was hearing lots of kitchen noise when I was trying to get an early night. But I was so tired I couldn’t be bothered to get up to ask anyone to be quiet! Overall I would go back. The staff were all lovely and helpful and found me safe overnight storage for my bike. “

„As a family of four with 2 teens and a big dog, it's difficult to find somewhere not over priced and a big enough space for us all. We stayed in a very spacious family room. Bathroom had a big drench shower and heated towel rail. Plenty of space for our dog's big bed! Ben and the other staff were very friendly and attentive, also accommodating to our needs. Breakfast was included and fantastic choice. We ate at the pub on the second night and the food really was fantastic and a good varied menu. ...

„Efficient, down-to-earth and friendly welcome from hotel staff. Free parking, comfortable room. Wifi didn't work in our room, however (we were warned about this though) - but it worked in the corridor outside. Our bed was an earthquake zone though - I nearly fell out when I rolled too close to the side, because the mattress was sprung, and of bad quality.“
