« Brief stay for a local wedding. Staff v friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Easy checkout. »

« Beautiful location with the stream running in front. Located in a quaint village - it was lovely and quiet! Room was lovely and very spacious and breakfast was delicious. About a 45 minute drive to Llangollen which was a lovely place to visit. The check-in / bar staff were a little less helpful, including dinner service -...

« Arrived at 19:30 on a Saturday night. Car park in total darkness, no staff members anywhere. Number to call at reception which went through to a call centre. Given a number for a keysafe outside the room. Heating turned off, 6 degrees celcius outside, 9 degrees celcius in the room. Absolute joke. Luckily saw a small electric heater behind the abandoned reception that we were able to "borrow" overnight, and return before checkout. Hardly any toilet paper in room either, so had to go to the...

« Really nice grounds and private lodges. Hot tub was lovely. The lodge could have been cleaner - the blinds were dirty, there was dust on the light shades and dirt around the edges of the rooms. The boiler worked but it didn’t seem to warm up the main living area. We ended up putting the oven on and leaving the door open. The oven was electric (not fan) and the element was at the top so it burnt food before cooking it. Rich, the out of hours member of staff was extremely helpful and went out of...
