âAmazing Stay at Porta Maestra â Perfect for a Group Trip
Porta Maestra is a beautiful apartment-style accommodation that was perfect for our guys' trip. We were three 30-year-old men and stayed in Apartment 3, located on the top floor. The layout worked great for us: two spacious bedrooms with large beds and a pullout sofa in the living room, plus two full bathroomsâplenty of space and privacy for a group.

âThe apartment has a great view of the marina and the main square of town. Bed was comfortable and the staff was more than helpful. The only negative was that the Wifi was not very strong. Don't know if this was a temp issue but was not big enough to ask about. You will surely love this unit. When we return, we will seek this apartment out again!â

âWe stayed 3 nights, the room is pretty small. Hotel location is excellent, right next to the water where the ferry comes in and walkable to many restaurants. â
âThe balcony view is just amazing.
It's located not far for the city center
(BUT it is a good climb up).
Which means that on a sunny day it's a killer!
But then you see that amazing sunset view and forget all about again. â
âWir hatten ein groĂes Zimmer mit KĂŒche und einem groĂen Balkon. Am Anreisetag fanden wir einige Spinnweben an der Zimmerdecke vor. Diese wurden nach der Reklamation sofort entfernt. Danach waren wir mit der Sauberkeit zufrieden. Das Zimmer ist mit einem Vorhang von der KĂŒche getrennt. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte sehr gut. Zu FuĂ ist man in ca. 10 Minuten vom Stadtzentrum zur Wohnung gelaufen. Da es jedoch stetig Bergauf geht und viele Treppen zu ĂŒberwinden sind, ist dieser Aufstieg, zumindest ...

âSehr schönes Hotel in bester Lage. Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen im Restaurant ist sehr lecker, hochwertig und fachlich perfekt zubereitet. Ăber das Preisniveau, das gilt fĂŒr ganz Kroatien, lĂ€sst sich sicher diskutieren. â

âThis place felt like home. Every aspect was remarkably decorated and felt classy. The hosts were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The pool area was a beautiful oasis, espexially to catch the sunset. I hope we can make it back to Hvar, if so this is definitely the place to stay!â
âBeautiful home on the hill with an infinity pool overlooking a private bay. This is a little piece of paradise outside the noise and the hustle and bustle of Hvar town, but only a 10 min drive away. The owner, Tony, is very friendly and accommodating and will drive you to town for 13 euros each way. It is about a 45 minute walk. Very secluded and peaceful! Perfect for a romantic get away or for families, but come prepared as there is nothing near by but 2 quite pricey restaurants.

"We absolutely loved the apartment and Natalija was super helpful and kind as our host. The location of the apartment was also perfect and we really enjoyed our stay there. "
"We stayed here for four nights. The hotel's location was fantasticâjust a 5â10 minute walk to the harbor and Hvar Old Town. Most of the staff were very friendly and hospitable. The rooms were small, but in perfect condition.
However, a few things detracted from our experience:
We had booked a room with a sea view, but it was more of a pool view. The room directly faced the pool, meaning people could easily see inside, so we had to keep the curtains closed at all times. As a result, we couldn't enjoy any sea view. This should be corrected in the listingâit should state âpool viewâ instead. We paid extra for a sea view and didnât get it, which felt disappointing.
The room lacked basic amenities such as a kettle, tea, or coffee. I fell ill during the last two days of our stay and wasnât able to get any hot water for tea after 11 PM, as the restaurant was also closed.
The hygiene of the breakfast plates was shockingly poor. Almost every plate we picked up had visible dust, felt greasy, and appeared not to have been properly washed."
