We liked the small hotel very much and felt very comfortable. Its location is great, the beautiful parks are very near, the hotel is furnished very tasteful. What really was annoying was the fact, that we ask for a babybed when booking which the hotel confirmed. What we got was a babybed with no mattress, just a slatted frame on the bottom of the bed. The solution they offered was a thick blanket - life-threatening to suffocate for a baby of 8 month which can not move by itself yet!!! If we had known, we would have chosen an other hotel! - they should not offer a babybed when they don't have a proper one! Our baby had to sleep in our bed between us - so our nights, despite the really comfortable beds (for adults), were not very relaxing! Really a pity!

Jederzeit wieder
Ich war jetzt zum 3.Mal in dem Hotel. Mit jedem Besuch war es besser. Alles sehr sauber und gut. Wie in alten englischen Häusern öfters, ist es etwas hellhörig, insbesondere flurseitig. Aber das war immer nur kurz und insofern nicht weiter schlimm. Die Zimmer sind mit Bügelutensilien, Wasserkocher und Nespressomaschinen ausgestattet, die Getränke im Zimmer sind kostenfrei. Die Bar/Rezeption ist 24/7 besetzt. Auf das Frühstück habe ich aus persönlichen Gründen verzichtet, weshalb ich nichts dazu sagen kann.

I had a lovely stay at 54 Queens Gate. I stayed for one week. The location was convenient. The amenities met my needs. The staff were kind and welcoming. Everything was in good working order. The shower was remarkably good. My only suggestion would be to not charge your guests for the buffet. There really weren't enough options there to make it worth paying.

There was a hiccup during my first day. I found a long strand of hair on the pillow. I already complained about that here so I will not write about it all over again. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good.

This generally was a nice hotel. However staff could have been a little more welcoming and friendly. Also in the middle of January it would have been nice to have had a room where the window actually locked closed. Not only does this create a security issue it also makes the room cold

Had an amazing stay at 54 Queen's Gate Hotel - the cleanliness stood out from the moment you entered the building. All the staff I came into contact with, were polite and attentive. The room itself was amazing, felt and looked clean. The bed was so comfortable - would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay here and hopefully I'll return again myself. This is a beautiful, quaint, boutique hotel with friendly, attentive staff. The location was perfect for me, as I view London as a “walking town”. I love to be near Hyde Park. This place is nestled into a block of row houses, just a few blocks South of Hyde Park and immediately across the street from the Natural History Museum. (Near fine dining, Pubs, and even a Whole Foods Grocery, if you’d rather grab a premade sandwich and have a picnic in the park). Both the housekeeping and front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. They do offer breakfast at an additional charge, but I prefer to go exploring, so I didn’t try their breakfast.

Excellent location for Albert Hall
A fantastic location for our stay - we were seeing a concert at the Albert Hall. Excellent service from start to finish. We really liked the theme for each room - based around famous local residents. The room was cosy but well decorated. Sadly there was a crack in the sink held together by tape and the shelf above the sink was loose and wonky. Minor things but I would expect greater attention to detail at this price.

Very nice small quiet hotel. Perfect for us museum lovers, since it's next to The Natural History Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum. It is also a very short walk from Harrods department store. The subway is a couple of blocks away and was very easy to use. The hotel serves a nice breakfast if you want to have a good meal before heading out for the day. Very friendly staff. We had a great time.

Nice Hotel, however let down by the finer detail!
I contacted the hotel prior to our stay to explain the trip was for my wife’s 50th Birthday, they acknowledged this and said they would make it “Unforgettable” however upon arrival we was taken to the wrong room, they apologised which was fine as mistakes happen so then we was taken to the correct room but the key didn’t work again. Nothing was put or laid out in the room like we have stayed at hotels before when it’s been a celebration. They never acknowledged it was her birthday at any point during our stay. Not only that but the Coffee machine in the room wasn’t working which I didn’t find out until the morning of our departure so told them when we checked out. Overall it was an average stay with all the staff being pleasant and the place being tidy however I’m sorely disappointed they made no effort in making it “unforgettable”
