Wir waren sehr sehr positiv überrascht von unserem Zimmer. Es war ganz neu renoviert und das Bad war unser Highlight! So ein neues Badezimmer hatten wir noch in keiner Unterkunft. Es werden aktuell wohl alle Zimmer renoviert, davon haben wir aber nur am Nachmittag des ersten Tages etwas gehört. Hat uns nicht gestört. Das Hotel liegt in Bloomsbury und hat eine sehr schöne Nachbarschaft. Der Ubahnhof ist 2 Minuten entfernt, das British Museum 5 Minuten und die Oxford Street 15 Minuten, alles zu Fuß. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und alles wunderbare 5 Tage London! Das Personal war sehr nett. Frühstück hatten wir nicht gebucht und es war kein Problem fußläufig leckeres Frühstück zu finden.

In der Nähe einer U-Bahn Station, man konnte alles gut erreichen. Das Frühstück war typisch Englisch, sehr lecker. Ist aber nur gut, wenn man englisches Frühstück mag weil es von den anderen Sachen nur sehr wenig Auswahl gab, z.B. zwei Wurstsorten und ein Käse. Die Heizung im Hotel war jedoch dauerhaft ausgeschaltet. Auf Anfrage hat man aber direkt eine sehr leise, mobile Heizung bekommen die das Zimmer auch gut warm gemacht hat. Wir waren genau zu Renovierungsarbeiten dort, weshalb ab 8 Uhr dann wirklich kein schlafen mehr möglich war. Das ganze ging bis Nachmittags. Der Innenhof war auch eine einzige Baustelle und sehr unschön. Man hat auch dauerhaft ein Geräusch von irgendwelchen Geräten gehört, da das Fenster sehr alt war und auch die kalte Luft kam durchgängig ins Zimmer. Kurz richtig Lüften war leider nicht möglich, da das Fenster sich nur minimal öffnen lies. Das Zimmer an sich war sehr klein aber es gab alles was man braucht, bis auf eine Toilettenbürste. Den kostenlosen Wasserspender in der Lobby haben wir auch oft genutzt, was einem sehr viel Geld gespart hat. Die „öffentliche“ Männer-Toilette im Hotel war leider sehr unhygienisch was man sonst nicht von London gewohnt ist. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. War einfach top!

Für einen kurzen Trip, mag das Hotel gehen, aber es kamen viele Kleinigkeiten zusammen, die den Aufenthalt nicht so schön gemacht haben. Erst mal das Positive: Die Mitarbeitenden sind alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war für den Preis sehr gut, aber nach einer Woche dann doch sehr eintönig. Das Hotel liegt nur eine Minute vom Russel Sqaure weg, womit man super die Innenstadt erreicht und sogar den Flughafen Heathrow ohne Umzusteigen. Das Negative: Die Zimmer sind alle sehr sehr klein, ausreichend zum schlafen, aber das Bad, war so klein, dass man kaum alleine drin stehen konnte. In die Dusche kommt man kaum rein, weil nur ein kleiner Spalt aufgeht. Unsere Heizung hat nicht funktioniert, wir mussten jedes Mal jemanden holen, der uns die Heizung aufdreht, was dann auch nicht so leicht war. Zumal die Fenster undicht waren und unfassbar kalte Luft hineinkam. Wir haben einmal unser Zimmer reinigen lassen nach der Hälfte des Urlaubs, wir hatten keine neuen Handtücher und kein neues Toilettenpapier. Darauf hin haben wir das Personal gefragt und sie meinten in 10 Minuten kommt jemand und bringt alles vorbei. Nach einer halben Stunde kamen dann unsere Handtücher, aber kein Toilettenpapier. Wir haben dann noch 2 weitere Male gefragt aber es kam niemand. Wir sind dann unterwegs gewesen, als wir wieder da waren spät abends, war dann das Toilettenpapier endlich da. Es gibt noch sehr viel mehr zu schreiben!

The lobby and the rooms were nice. The bathroom was super small so using the toilet was quite challenging. The floors smelled like puke the whole time. We asked for another room since ours was super loud due to the ventilator outside the window. We got a new room to the other side which was nice and had double windows. But at night the fire doors were so loud. Every few minutes somebody banged the doors and we stood in our bed. Our room hasn‘t been cleaned for 2 days and when I called the reception about that, we got 3 towels and a trash bag. Besides that the location was really good and if it was cleaner and not as loud, we would recommend it

Gutes Hotel der Mittelklasse. Leichte ‚Gebrauchsspuren‘ vorhanden, Zimmer relativ klein aber gemütlich. Frühstücksbuffet gut - Es sollte sich für jeden etwas finden. Qualität der Speisen ist OK, Auswahl an Aufschnitt klein, warme Speisen i.O. Die Lage ist klasse: Nahezu direkt an einer U-Bahn-Station gelegen (Russel Square - 2 Minuten zu Fuß) ist der Flughafen in ca. 1 Stunde zu erreichen. In die andere Richtung sind es nur wenige Stationen zu den Highlights (Covent Garden, Picadilly Circus usw.) Die Themse mit London Eye, Big Ben & Co. ist in ca. 20 Minuten Fußmarsch erreicht; das British Museum ist ‚um die Ecke‘. Fazit Mit kleinen Abstrichen in der B-Note ein gutes Hotel, das mit seiner tollen Ausgangslage punktet. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Die Lage ist top, Zimmer und Sauberkeit auch in Ordnung. Die Betten sind leider sehr ungemütlich gewesen. Die Matratzen gehören dringend ausgetauscht, unsere waren leider sehr durchgelegen und man hat die Federn immer gespürt. Waren zum Glück für einen Städtetrip und daher nur 3 Nächte dort, daher war es absehbar.

Das Hotel ist ein bisschen "in die Jahre gekommen", unschlagbar ist jedoch die zentrale Lage und die sehr nahe gelegene U-Bahnstation (ca. 2 Gehminuten entfernt). Das englische Frühstück im Hotel ist gut. Wer es nicht mag, findet in der Umgebung aber auch Alternativen. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Es war voll zweckdienlich. Leider hat der versprochene Frühstück-Packet-Service am Tag der Abreise nicht funktioniert. Sie haben versprochen, mir das Geld für dieses Frühstück zurück zu zahlen. Mal schauen, ob das klappt. Falls ja, ist das Hotel perfekt für eine Städtereise (mit zwei Kindern im Schulalter).

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage, im Zentrum und nahe der U-Bahn. Das Personal ist super nett. Auch das Frühstück und die Bar sind ok. Das Hotel selbst ist in die Jahre gekommen, was an sich nicht tragisch ist. Allerdings sind die Fenster sehr alt. Dadurch, dass es keine Klimaanlage auf den Zimmern gibt, ist man gezwungen das Fenster zu öffnen. Hat man ein Zimmer in den "Hinterhof" muss man mit dauerhaftem lauten Brummen und Rauschen leben (vermutlich irgendeine Klimaanlage?). Außerdem ist die Sauberkeit auf den Fluren nicht ok. Gesaugt wird anscheinend nur in der Mitte des Flures, an den Rändern türmt sich der Staub. Die Zimmer dagegen werden täglich gut gereinigt. Alles in allem - für einen Londonkurztrip ist das Hotel ok, wenn man keinen Hotelluxusurlaub plant und einen sauberen Schlafplatz in zentraler Lage mit gutem Frühstück (englisch) und nettem Personal sucht.
