Leider haben wir uns in dieser Unterkunft nicht wohl gefühlt. Sie machte insgesamt einen ungepflegten Eindruck. Die Zusammenstellung der Einrichtung kann man als geschmacklos bezeichnen. Die Dusche funktioniert nicht richtig (es kommt nur wenig Wasser und die Temperatur ist schwer einzustellen, außerdem ist der Schlauch zu kurz). Der Staubsauger war verstopft und kaum zu gebrauchen. Das Blech im Backofen war so mit angekohlten Resten verdreckt, dass man den Ofen nur ohne dieses Blech benutzen konnte, ansonsten sprang der Rauchmelder an. In einer Kammer lagert ein Haufen angeschmutzter, muffiger Kissen/Decken/Auflagen die eigentlich in den Müll gehören. Die Vermieter scheinen sich keine besondere Mühe zu geben, die Wohnung einladend und gemütlich zu machen. Positiv ist die Lage der Wohnung – der Strand ist wirklich schnell zu Fuß erreichbar und das Meer von der Terrasse aus zu sehen. Die Anlage ist ruhig und angenehm. Wir können diese Ferienunterkunft jedoch insgesamt nicht weiterempfehlen. Unfortunately we didn`t feel comfortable in the so called “villa”. The furnishing is not elegant at all. In different ways it was unkempt. For example the shower and the vacuum cleaner don`t work in a satisfactory manner. There was a lot of old rubbish in the cabinets. Overall we had the impression, that nobody really takes great care of the flat. So we cannot recommend it to other visitors, although the position in the area is nice.

I regret you did not contact me whilst you were on holiday so I could rectify the problems. Unfortunately I live 150 miles away so therefore cannot check the villa regularly. The comments have been taken on board and action taken. There is now new furniture and employed a new cleaning contractor. Items left in the villa have been removed. I am so sorry you weren’t satisfied.

Lovely beach at Millendreath. Lots to see at Looe. Not so much to do when it is raining. A visit to Polperro is a must. Nice accommodation, well appointed, but avoid if allergic to pets hair.

Hillside Villas Millendreath
Had a fantastic stay, we all loved this place! And shall return. The Apartment was clean, bright and cosy with everything we needed. It has a double room and a room with 2 single beds. The Balcony was great for sitting and admiring the stunning views of Millendreath Beach and surrounding area. Only small things are no gate to stop pets (we used our dog crate to block this) and small children as other reviews mentioned so we knew about this. There is also a grassed area halfway down the steps to take dog out early morning and last thing at night if needed. I would also recommend a torch for night time as there is not much site lighting but it is a very safe place. Approximately 34 steps and a 3 minute walk to the beach with its Beach bar open till 10:30 pm and Beach cafe serving food from 9am till 6pm...both very nice and welcoming. Just a note dogs are allowed on the beach before 9am and after 6pm.

Lovely villa, clean and tidy. A lovely home from home.
We loved our stay here. The host very friendly and helpful. The people are lovely willing to help anyone. 2 Minutes walk to the beach which was great for our old dog. Dogs can go on the beach before 9am and after 6pm in the summer. It’s also not to far to walk in to looe , the walk is not for the faint hearted it’s has lots of stairs and hills it is well worth it, we walked in to looe nearly everyday. Lovely views where ever you look. Would definitely go again

What a fantastic 2 x week stay at this homely chalet. It had every utensil you could possibly want or need for making wonderful meals, comfy sofas, wonderful open plan kitchen/living room(so you can watch tv whilst cooking and have a chat).The double bed is so comfortable you feel completely enveloped in its fluffy duvet and marsh mallow pillows - simply divine. I will definitely be going back and must thank sally and Jane for their coordinated communication. Overall - Excellent holiday home. Many thanks Kaz Xx

How to relax
Upon arrival the site manager was rather elusive and it was a cleaner who was more help in answering any questions we had. With no Internet access owing to low or no signal she helped find us wear we were staying and I can't praise her enough. Now apart from this I can only recommend this holiday Village. It's as it says right on a private beach, has a cafe which isn't great but adequate, and a beach bar which is really nice with good and friendly staff and a good range of drinks. The accommodation is comfortable with a good size terrace to relax and just look out to sea.

Great location…fabulous views…lovely resort.
We had a great week in this lovely, friendly, quiet (but popular) resort with fabulous views of the sea and woodland. The coastal walk to Looe became an almost daily ritual. The only negative was the accommodation which was pretty tired and shabby and really not very clean. I’d read reviews that had mentioned this but hoped that during a global pandemic, this would have improved. I didn’t contact anyone as felt that if that was the standard during a time of having extra precautions and protocols, there was little hope :-( We took our own bedding which we were glad about. Would suggest taking a clothes airer too as the one provided is weeny.

It was a lovely comfortable stay in the villa, great views. Comfortable bed, great place to relax. Quiet and peaceful. Couple of minutes by car to Looe. Ten minutes to Polperro, great little fishing village. Would definately recommend staying here. Will go again no problem.

Millendreath is an absolute gem
Fantastic break staying in this hillside villa. Views are fantastic and the valley is just gorgeous. We've stayed in the holiday village previously and just love it. So peaceful and beautiful. The villa itself, is a little tired but seems like maybe its a work in progress, hopefully the bathroom is the next priority. Point to note, if you're taking your canine friend, as we did, there is no gate on the balcony so we had to use the patio table to block the gap but also very conveniently located for his bedtime pee is a patch of grass just a few steps down from the villa. Overall though, everything we needed was on hand and we had a wonderful stay. Thankyou.

Fab location , right next to beach , elevated position so great sea views, huge balcony brilliant for the dogs, digs allowed on the beach before 9 and after 6 without a lead , so it was great at 6pm all the dogs playing together on the beach , doggy heaven , but Seaton beach and downderry beach close by allow dogs without leads day and night, perfect size apartment for us , it's not a 5* apartment but you don't want that if you have dogs in there , it's perfectly adequate and comfortable, had a fab stay , would stay again anytime 👍♥️

Major issues with cleaning
Before booking I read the reviews including the ones that mentioned issues with cleaning, but I thought that they were written by people who like to find fault. I have never before in my life written a negative review but on this occasion I feel like I have a duty to inform others so that the cleanliness issues don't ruin anybody else's holidays,l. This is especially important during this time of Covid 19 were cleanliness is even more important. Upon arrival at the chalet I found very large cobwebs in all rooms around windows, curtains, corners of the rooms and even in the kitchen food cupboards. We also discovered a tangerine on the floor between the sofa and the setee. I also found that one of the bedrooms has a sweaty smell and later discovered dirty socks left by previous guests in the inches of dust down the side of bed. I also found inches, yes inches of dust behind the bed. With the amount of dust found I would estimate that it had been years since it was throughly cleaned. I took photographs and sent them to the owner so that they could see the extent of the issue but the owner did not seem bothered and failed to get back in contact with me. The chalet is in a fantastic location and could be a brilliant holiday rental if the cleaning issues are resolved. Unfortunately the cleaning issues ruined my holiday and I did not even receive any apology from the owner. I would not recommend the apartment and I certainly will not be staying there again.

I am sorry you were not happy. As explained to you on the telephone had you called us on arrival these issues would have been dealt with immediately. Also the cleaner did visit the chalet during the week and spoke to you. At no time did you mention the problems!!! An apology was given but at the same time we do not understand why you did not communicate with us upon arrival.

Relaxing week at Millendreth
On our arrival to the property there was a little confusion with our check in time and unfortunately the villa was not ready and had not been cleaned from the previous guest who had left it rather dirty, this was rectified with a simple phone call and 3 ladies arrived within the hour and cleaned the villa to a very high standard. The whole area is lovely with access to the private beach a short walk away. This property is advertised as suitable for pets, the only drawback was there was not a gate on the patio area. Although the Villa has fantastic views of the sea this does come with the drawback of being on the second level with around 30 uneven steps with no lighting at night can be very dangerous. Anyone with small children on the beach be aware we did find several dinner plate sized clear jelly fish believed to be Moon jellyfish. We would very much like to stay here again and enjoyed our week.

After booking I experienced bad hip pain which made the 30+steps to the property difficult. We found that almost all of the equipment in the kitchen had to be washed before use, and one cupboard had mouse droppings in it. There were no mixing spoons, plastic or wood. The undersheet, when we stripped the bed before leaving, was filthy.

BEAUTIFUL location but unfortunately it was dirty :-(
The owner provided excellent communication both prior to our stay and during. The property is in a beautiful location, it has a lovely patio area which gives stunning views and is so peaceful at night.....loved being able to relax and hear the waves crashing onto the beach. The neighbors were absolutely lovely people which was very nice. There is quite a few steps to get to the property so it is not suitable for a wheelchair user, pram, or limited mobility etc. The kitchen is modern and has everything you would need, although do take an iron as the one provided is extremely old (there is also no ironing board). The living room could do with a bit of an update but it provides everything you need. The bedrooms are adequate although only one wardrobe but there is plenty of drawers. The front bedroom can become very hot as the sun rises in the morning, there is black out curtains up to reduce the light coming through. The phone signal is terrible, the villa would benefit from WiFi. The ONLY bad part of the holiday was how dirty the villa was on arrival. It was thick with dust and cobwebs everywhere. The draining board is black and the kitchen looked as if it had been given a quick wipe down. The bathroom was the worst with it being extremely dirty with thick black muck around the taps, bath, toilet and thick muck on the window sill and skirting boards/door etc. It would appear as if it had been wiped over around the middle of the villa and it had defiantly not been cleaned. When we notified the owner she apologized and did send the cleaner who had a look and also apologized stating it was a ''new cleaner'' who had been and she had not checked afterwards. I didn't insist on it being cleaned as I had done most of it myself by the time the cleaner had arrived as I just could not use the bathroom until it had been cleaned. Having to clean everything is not the best way to start your holiday. Overall the villa is in a fantastic location, minutes from the beach, bar and a few shops, it would benefit from a little update and refresh in places, and I would personally be sacking the current cleaner and looking for new cleaner. The lack of cleanliness really did let it down, hence only 3 stars. However I would stay again if it could be guaranteed the Villa would be clean.

great location, but grubby.
Good points: Spectacular views over the hills and sea to the side. Only a 2-3 min walk to the beach. Short drive to the town of Looe. When we had a problem with a shower, it was promptly dealt within 2 days. Bad points: The place is dirty! It’s only being cleaned in the middle, the skirting boards are covered with dust and mould. Cob webs in every corner. The washing up tray was so dirty I ended up just drying the dishes on kitchen towels. Bathroom was grubby. The bath plug was swimming in the glass for brushing teeth in some sort of yellow fluid. The plastic table on the decking had 2 solidified tissues stuck to it, disgusting to sit and enjoy the views. The duvets and pillows were very lumpy and the bed linen was 100% synthetic. Hot and uncomfortable in summer. There was no Wi-Fi, and no reception on the virgin network, so we had absolutely no access to internet throughout the holiday.

Was quite clean but could do with a real spring clean, also needs updating and some TLC and if you have children with you a DVD player would be good as there is not one there. There was no hot water out of the taps only very Luke warm even with the immersion heater on so had to keep boiling the kettle to wash up with but could get a hot from the shower though. Phone reception was dreadful. However the views were great, right on top of the beech and the food at the local eatery was really nice..yes I would stay at this complex again..but just not in that poticular apartment.

I am sorry you had problems with the water. A new boiler has now been fitted. With regards to the cleanliness of the villa again I can only apologise and will speak to the cleaner to be more thorough.

Relaxing break
On our way home from a third May half term holiday in Millendreath, 2nd time staying at this villa. As usual beautifully clean and comfortable villa with all you need for a great holiday, amazing views. so relaxing sitting on the patio listening to the birds singing and the sea with a glass of wine it’s like paradise! Very close to the beach with a stream where lots of children play my daughter made lots of friends and was always occupied, We will be back again I’m sure. If you are thinking of booking this property go for it you won’t regret it

Nice, tidy apartment with spectacular views
This small but neat apartment has everything you could need for a home away from home. There are a couple of odd jobs that need doing but the owner was very receptive when I told her about them & was keen to get them sorted. The views are spectacular & the general area is beautiful ... we had great weather for Feb & took full advantage of this. The only downside was that, as it was out of season, the pub & restaurant weren't open some days ... we aren't ones for drinking at home so it was a sober(ish) week 😉

A wonderful place
This was our 2nd stay at Millendreath yet again it didn't disappoint everything you need for a perfect family holiday. The villa was clean and tidy , comfy sofas and lovely modern kitchen. (We could have done with some oven gloves?) Beautiful views from the property and a safe clean beach for children to play on whilst moms and dads relax. We will be back :)

Lovely view from this villa. Everything I needed for a few days' break. Plenty of heaters enabled me to keep cosy despite 'The Beast from the East' raging outside. Short though strenuous walk into East Looe via the coast path meant no need to use the car if I didn't want to.

Easy to find. Parking readily available at bottom of steps to villa. View from veranda at front of property to hillside opposite and sea to right. Key retrieved, entered flat. Nice, bright interior with full width windows to view. Two bedrooms, double and twin plus bathroom and kitchen open plan with lounge. Clean and fully equipped for self catering, sofa suite and main bed look new, electricity by charge card locally on site. Although only two of us stayed it would be ideal for small family. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed our stay. If summer weather, why holiday abroad? Excellent value for money and would return again, but next time for longer.

Very filthy
This appartment was very filthy. The kitchen and bathroom were seriously polluted. In the bathroom, the most polluted part of the house, even the shower curtain was full of mold. The first day we spent cleaning. The appartment is rented including linen, but given the state of the house, we didn't want to sleep underneath. Luckily we had our own sheets. Another review also notes that the house was filthy. I was misled by the friendly response from the owner who noted that if he had known, he had send a cleaner. But this appartment needs more then 1 cleaner. It's not properly cleaned in a long, long time. The house is also too full. The drawers and kitchen cabinets are packed with things you don't need. Many paint cans and drawers full of mess. We had rented for 1 week, but we left one day earlier, because of the state of the house. Black rock beach is a wonderful place, but make sure you don't hire number 42.

I am so sorry the villa was not clean. There must have been a problem with the cleaner. If you had contacted me on arrival I would have immediately arranged for someone to go in. We have guests returning to the villa every year and have a lovely holiday so again I can only apologise that you did not enjoy your stay.

A lovely location but property needs some updating.
We really enjoyed our stay and the view from the balcony was fantastic. A good location and we enjoyed visiting Looe and Polperro. Only negative for us was we both felt the property could do with a little updating. Some of the furnishings were damaged and furniture dated. However the kitchen areas was nice and the cost to rent the property was very reasonable.

Fantastic accommodation, perfect base, amazing holiday!
The villa is set up a number of steps, so recommend more and lighter bags than fewer and heavier bags! Beautiful accommodation, everything you could need. Beautiful balcony / patio area where we sat outside on 20/10 in T-shirts at 4pm, we had glorious weather. We were concerned about the electricity meter (it's behind the bin) we thought this would be expensive, especially with having the water heater on, washing machine and tumble dryer - we used less than £5 inn a week! The location is perfect for walking, Looe is a pleasant walk as is Seaton beach. We visited Polruan for a beautiful walk and Edgecombe Park. We had two small dogs, the laminate flooring made it easy for us to keep everywhere clean. Millendreath beach does not accept dogs however Plaidy and Seaton beaches - either side of Millendreath do allow dogs. Lots of local pubs, Sarah's pasties in Looe are to die for (we came back with 32 pasties! Thank you for a fabulous break, will definitely highly recommend Michele, Tina, Rosie 1 and Rosie 2
