Im Hotel angekommen wurde ich sehr freundlich empfangen. Als ich die Hotelzimmertüre öffnete, kam mir ein merkwürdiger Geruch entgegen. Ich musste das Zimmer zuerst lüften. Das Zimmer hatte einen schönen grossen Balkon. Leider steht das Hotel direkt an einer grossen Kreuzung. Deshalb muss mit Motorgeräuschen gerechnet werden. Der Manager Daniel ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

This hotel is nice in general, clean with new rooms , hotel has a cute little outdoor pool, jacuzzi, a very big outdoor recreation zone, cool modern lobby and coffee/smoothie bar. But free wifi is weak , they charge for good internet ( without your permission, just adding to your bill), they charge for clear bottles of water ( didn’t inform in advance), those cheap details a bit disappointing..But location is great-20 min walk to Manhattan beach and 25 min to walk to Hermosa Beach with nice bars, great piers. Would recommend to visit Lazy Acres-market on opposite side-it’s a good supermarket with great bakery, coffee, fruit and salad and hot food bars. Hotel is far away from Hollywood and Downtown , Long Beach, Santa Monica .

We liked this hotel a lot. It was very clean and most of the staff was very friendly and kind. We would definitely stay here again. My only nit would be that it was impossible to reach them by phone. It kept a constant busy signal no matter which number I’d call either from Expedia or the internet. Not sure if they were having phone issues or what. We loved it though. Really clean which I appreciated so much and loved that they had a restaurant for breakfast and fresh coffee almost every morning. One morning they didn’t for some reason, human related I’m sure. They were great! We will be back!

Hotel Hermosa is a ‘nice enough’ hotel close to the beach. It’s clearly an old hotel that has had a facelift and it just about gets away with it, without showing its age too much. The decor is funky and the place is clean, our room has a beautiful view of the ocean. Problem with being an older hotel is that the walls are very thin, leading to us having to call reception 3 times at 4am because our neighbour had his TV blasting all night long and there was a party down the hallway that we could hear very loudly. The in room AC units are also very old (but covered by an attractive looking box to modernise the room) which means they are very loud every time they click on and off, as was our fridge which sounded like a small motorcycle every time the compressor clicked on to cool it. The symphony of the AC, Fridge and our selfish neighbour lead to a pretty miserable night. Overall the hotel is fine, but it’s vastly overpriced for what you get.

Not a neighborhood I would recommend staying in. My wife and I were on our Honeymoon and we were targeted for complaints for about everything, within 2 hours of checking in. We played some music on low around 12pm and took a shower and we got complaints from management. Mind blowing. We then flew to Las Vegas to the Venetian and boy that’s hospitality.

Super clean and fairly new hotel! Amazing staff, especially the assistant manager who was so nice! Just wish the room was a bit larger or that they had connecting rooms because for a family of 4 with suitcases, it got pretty tight! Other than that it is a lovely place close to everything!

It did help that we were upgraded to an ocean view room. We originally received a city view, but the traffic noise was unbearable when we walked in. Staff was nice and had a room available. That made our stay much nicer.
