This property review is a challenge to write.
The location was amazing, the check in staff were awesome as was Ivan ( Bell Boy) and Asai ( Pool Server). Unfortunately, the rest of the staff that we encountered were underwhelming at best.
The rooms are dated, but comfortable with unmatched views, Inside, they could use upgrades into this century, the 1980’s decor can be a little hard to swallow.
All of that is forgivable. What’s not is the food. We tried all outlets and were disappointed with each one.
Our dinner on Friday night on property was, as we were all in agreement, the worst we had been served in any hotel… anywhere.
The steaks were cooked to carbon, the pork chops devoid of any moisture. Our sides of vegetables and potatoes were served burned beyond recognition. We were charged $102.00 plus for a terrible meal.
Then to the pool for a snack. Again our server here, Asai, was terrific! The two meals we ordered, nachos and ceviche were both lacking flavor, and presentation. Both should not have been served.
Breakfast? You might think that it’s not possible to serve eggs incorrectly, but the cooks managed to do that here. I ordered the Machaca and Eggs, my spouse, the eggs ranchero. Both came out completely overcooked and inedible.
To wrap this up, the property can be forgiven for being outdated, the views and location make up for it. Don’t spend your time or money on food, go off property to a nice restaurant and enjoy your meal.
