Déçu...

Arrivee compliquee à 6 avec lien application qui ne permettait pas d'ouvrir porte du batiment via le mail. Heureusement bonne reactivite du support en ligne via whatsapp mais interphone hs... .appartement propre tres grand mais pas de 3eme chambre/ canapé salle pour 5 et 6eme couchage. Mobilier tres vintage. Annonce pas claire ou pas bien lu. Ensuite 2 pointes apparentes dans le vieux parquet. Tres Dangereux... on a evité le pire ... evier salle de bain petit et ecoulement bof... à ce prix... pour l emplacement, bien pour decouvrir Madrid mais bruit infernal de fête à l exterieur toutes les nuits et tres faibles isolations. Quartier tres bruyant. Dommage. Pas en adequation avec le prix.

Une arnaque

Une catastrophe Arrivée non organisée comme prévue serrure cassée personne pour nous renseigner obligé d attendre un homme de maintenance qui ferme l’appartement Volet cassé un bruit infernal pas d isolation Un intérieur sale des canapés sales dans chaque chambres mais pas de salon pas de coin repas pas de table pas de chaises une vaisselle sale et hors d age Pas de lave vaisselle Des carrelages cassés dans les salles de bain une baignoire ou vous aviez du mal à entrer car le robinet était cassé tringle de douche cassée lavabo bouché Impossible de joindre une personne Nous louons avec Abritel depuis de nombreuses années mais cette fois ci je pense que nous éviterons le site si vous ne vous renseignez pas auparavant Annonce très mensongère

Great Central locat

This centrally located apartment is a great base to explore Madrid and is right in the heart of everything, very close to Puerto Del Sol. It was a great base for our family of five with three adult/teen kids, but it might be a little noisy for younger families. The views from the balconies were amazing, and it was quite spacious for a city center apartment. The kitchen has limited utensils so you should probably plan to eat out in the many local restaurants. The check-in process was a little confusing as some of the messages were only available in the VRBO app and some went to email but we figured it out in the end.

Nice location but experience sucked

Took us 2 hrs to get access. Remote lock was not working or team didnt know how to use.AC not working in one bedroom when asked about repair, crickets. No starter kit, had to find grocery store for basics 1st night. No book on equipment checkout etc. No Wifi passwird in apt.m, had to contact host. Hard key would work at times. Bathrooms are really tiny. Worse VRBO ever

Small bathrooms, ridiculous showers, no AC, very noisy.

Central location, however street noise was constant. Would not recommend for families with children. Pictures in profile do not accurately reflect the very poor floor plan. The kitchen and bathrooms are very tiny. Both bathrooms were similar to what you expect on a dingy cruise ship (see pictures). The most frustrating aspect of our short stay was the AC. Each “room” had a small wall unit, however 1 of the 2 bedrooms unit does not work. We were told second day it had to be operated at the unit (9 feet up the wall). After attempting this we confirmed that was not the case. The last day of our stay we were told there was a portable unit we could use. The unit wasn’t much better than a box fan bringing the room temp down from 88 deg to 80 deg. Thankfully were were only there 3 days.

Beautiful apartment / poorly kept apt resulting in bad check in process and injury of guest

The apartment is old and beautiful, the listing got all of that right but the check in process was difficult. To get into the apartment for the first time you have to call the intercom in the apartment then switch a digital key on your phone, the only problem was that intercom was turned off in the apartment so our buzz-in requests were not working, we ended up having to wait until someone who lived in the building was walking out for us to get in the first time, after which I turned on the intercom and we were able to use our digital keys. Lastly, there was a rusty nail protruding out of the floor. A guest stepped on it and cut his foot open, we reported this issue and didn’t receive a response from the host which was a bit annoying. Other than these two minor grievances the apartment was beautiful and we still managed to have plenty fun in Madrid.

Beautiful Place…it will make your trip a better memory!

Great place to stay to have a memorable experience…you will hear the streets enjoying the night so if your a light sleeper this might not be for you, but everyone else should definitely experience this full floor with floor to ceiling window/doors wrap-around apartment!

The view of this property is truly gorgeous and amazing!! You can stare out the window for hours. I felt like a local while staying in this area. We felt safe. The heaters were on automatic. The apartment was clean and well decorated. I will definetly book this apartment once again when I return and recommend it’s amazing view! Thank you! The only downside is although it’s located on the 5th floor you can hear all of the noise of the night life for the streets. However if you are tired from touring the entire day you will fall asleep with no issues like I did.

Amazing views!! And great location!

Pros.... Amazing views!!!...With multiple balconies.... you can stand on them with a glass of wine and observe the great city views, great central location. This literally makes the entire rental worth it. Great to have 2 full bathrooms too.... super rare for the rentals we found. Cons... VERY noisy at night....earplugs didn't help much.... lots of people screaming ... we got almost no sleep all night. Beds were also very firm. Overall a great stay for a short period of time. We had to catch up on sleep after.

Amazing location- bathrooms needs an upgrade

The location and size of the apartment are absolutely fantastic. However, I have to say the bathrooms need an upgrade as soon as possible. The second bathroom is a joke and almost unusable, and the shower in the main bathroom makes no sense; the head shower faces outside the tub towards the wall, making it very uncomfortable to shower. Again, the location and the views are outstanding.

Good location

The apartment was In a great location. Reading past reviews I knew there would be noise so that was no biggie! The rooms were spacious and the main bathroom was great, however the secondary bathroom was horrible. Standing in the shower, good luck not hitting the handle that turns it on but also changes temp.. most bizarre thing ever. The shampoo that was left for guest was unbelievable.. I think perhaps someone played a trick on them because it smelled so bad the entire apartment stank Ike throw up. The curtains in the showers were dirty and the exposed pipes burned my ankle in the small bathroom. Things positive.. view and location. Very unique for sure.

Fifth Floor, Central Madrid Apartment, bohemian vibed locale, on Plaza de Canalejas

This was a spacious location for a stay. Since the purpose of staying in Madrid was to visit the fantastic museos in and around the Jerónimos section, this property price point drew my family to select it for the mid-summer, two night stay. There is Metro service a few blocks walk away. Excellent restaurant options abound nearby, especially two short blocks away in the more tranquil Plaza de Santa Ana. Our Museo destinations were Museo Nacional del Prado (excelente), Museo Naval (fascinante), Real Jardín Botánico (tranquilo), Museo Nacional Thyseen-Bornemisza (histórico). These destinations were short walks away from this location, all under 1km with so much more ambiance that the summer heat did not distract us from the destination experiences. The daily temperatures reached 40 degrees C both days of our stay. The Calle de la Cruz número 1 building’s age shows and the floor is in need of repairs. The boisterous nightlife made sleeping in the un-airconditioned room challenging. However, there were two other rooms with air conditioning. Two bathrooms made it simple for a family of five people to stay two nights. I recommend this apartment for a group of adults, due to the lively street life. However, for a family with children, we were sleep challenged, especially in the un-air conditioned room.

Location, location…

The location is very nice and easy to take the train or walk to many parks, museums, and restaurants. The shower curtain was dirty in one bathroom and fell down as it was not secured well. Beautiful views from the various balconies. No common areas for meals, but none promised in description. Quite loud at night so bring earplugs and white noise app if you are a light sleeper.

Excellent location

The property is as described online. FYI, there's no common area: only 3 bedrooms, 2 bath, and a kitchen. That was my mistake for not realizing that from the listing. One of the bathrooms is crazy tiny and almost unusable, so keep that in mind. The shower was miniscule and no way of not running into the faucet and changing the temperature of the water constantly. Just be aware that there's really only one functional shower/tub. The noise is real. Quite loud until 8 AM or so. The bedrooms are large as pictured.

Smack in the middle of the action

We stayed in November when the weather was chilly. The apartment is on the 5th floor and is clean, bright, warm and the bedrooms are large with their own sitting area in each. The kitchen is small but adequate for small snack/meal prep. The location is bustling at all hours of the night. We were able to easily walk to every event, attraction and tour we wanted to do. The stree below is loud and full of all night revellers that sing and shout all night long. So earplugs and a sound machine are a must. We loved being in the heart of the action. Thanks!
